I really agonized over whether I wanted to risk purchasing this online. I'd tried out several different ukes in different stores to get a feel for what I wanted, and I really loved the way the Luna sounded, but it was hard to find one to buy at a brick-and-mortar. I need not have worried, however -- this uke was in excellent condition when it arrived. Not only did I receive the promised hard case, but it also came with a gig bag, which I did not at all expect. The tuner was different than the one pictured, as well, being a Snark tuner, which is a nice brand, easy to use for string instruments, though slightly less accurate than my other electronic tuner. The uke itself really looks stunning. I love the unique design. The tone is very rich but still mellow, a little bit quieter than my brother's Mahalo (he suspected the soundhole muted things a bit) but still plenty loud enough, and without the harsher sound of the Mahalo. The action is just right, easy on my fingers without being so low as to cause buzzing. The concert size is perfect -- makes a lot of chords easier than the smaller soprano size. I love that it comes with Aquila strings, too. Oh, yeah, let me take just a minute and talk about the case. I have purchased a lot of hard cases in my day, and this is one of the best I've ever seen -- really beautiful! I expected it to look cheap because of the low price for the package, but this one blows most of my hard cases out of the water. The inside fabric has a wonderful nap to it, and there's reinforcement in all the right places, and feels strong enough to withstand a normal amount of bumping around while traveling. The double zipper makes locking easy. I just love the whole package. I've been playing my uke almost daily since I got it, and I'm very pleased that the strings hold their tone very well ... I barely need to tune up at the beginning of a session. I'm sure there are better professional models out there, but for a student just starting out on the instrument, I am extremely pleased. ... show more

I was really surprised when I opened the box! Mostly a good thing. I have never owned a Uke but thought it would be easy and fun to play. I own high end guitars and was not expecting such a finely made instrument at this price. Precisely made, beautiful wood and I love the etched Peace motif. As I said, am not familiar with ukuleles so I really didn't know what to expect it to sound like, but as it relates to guitars,I am well pleased. To me it sounds very rich, mellow and load for such a little thing. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is the case (s). At the time of purchase other buyers were raving about the hard case it came with, so that is what I expected, even though the description did not say it came with a hard case. It came with two gig bags, a gig bag for a soprano Uke, which was strange, and a Luna nylon gig bag. I gave the soprano bag to a local Uke club so that made them happy and the Luna bag fits the Concert Uke perfectly. The tuner is a good, haven't watched the DVD tutorial yet but I'm sure it will be adequate if not great. Polish cloth really is unnecessary but I can use it. So all in all, a great instrument with bunch of goodies. I'm more than happy with the purchase. If I could have given 4.5 stars I would have. ... show more

My son had me looking at Luna ukuleles because that is one of the brands played by Tyler Joseph of Twenty One Pilots. While I was looking through the Luna products, I saw this and instantly fell in love with it! I was leery of buying it over the Internet, because I like to actually play any instrument before I buy it, and I wasn't sure if I was going to use this as my main ukulele, or give it to my daughter (who is crazy about anything that has a peace sign on it). Right out of the shipping box, it's holding its tune well, and it not only looks beautiful, it has a beautiful tone. I bought this version because it comes with a hardshell case instead of a gig bag, for just a couple bucks more than the gig bag version! The Aquila Nylgut strings that are on this ukulele are the current favorite of most ukulele players, which was another reason to choose this uke. My first ukulele was an Ohana, which sounds good for a starter instrument, and now belongs to my daughter. I'm torn between this ukulele and my Kala Exotic Mahogany. But one of them has to go to my son, and he's a purist who doesn't care for the design, so the decision is pretty much made for me. The tuner that comes with this package isn't the best, I prefer the Snark, but it does the job and I'll hand it down to my daughter along with the Ohana. ... show more

I am no ukulele expert by any means, so as far as I'm concerned this ukulele is very good. It is very beautiful, the picture can just barely do it justice. As far as the case goes, it is by far one of the best case I have ever seen for any kind of instrument. It is very protective and looks very awesome. This bundle also comes with a polishing cloth, and a handy tuner. These can easily be stored in the case which has plenty of compartments to hold little things. When I tuned it the sound was amazing, I could hear each note clearly. It didn't have any weird smells or sharp edges, I also loved the word pattern on it. I would recommend it for everyone!

I already owned a couple Luna guitars but this was my first ukulele and I am so glad I chose this one. I love its sound and look. The bag is nice and sturdy. The tuner is accurate. This is for sure my favorite instrument that I own.

Good sound for around 100.00 Really a 3 star ukelele but low price got it a 4 star rating in value. Got it for my 7 years old daughter to start learning with. So far for her neck is good and strings are not to stiff action is low enough that she can pluck out some great chords. She really like to the cool design. ... show more
