  • Perfect size, great looking watch
The Luminox 3001.BO is a very nice watch. I like the smaller size (42mm) and the blackout look. The watch arrived in perfect condition. Everything works. The blue glow at night is very cool. For those of you worried about the warranty from WatchSavings, don't be. It is just as good as the Luminox original warranty,. Maybe even better based on all the negative reviews about Luminox customer service. For the price point you getting this watch (44% off retail) the identical Watchsavings warranty is the better deal. The Luminox original warranty is not that great to begin with. So why pay retail? The Luminox warranty does not cover physical damage on the watch such as the crystal, case, bezel, etc. It also takes (per other reviews) Luminox weeks if not months to fix anything wrong with your watch. If your watch is lost you are better off buying another Luminox at 44% off retail. Luminox quality is very good but their customer service needs improvement. Lets face it the Luninox 3001.BO watch is not a good dive watch (does not meet ISO 6425 dive watch requirements) and you should avoid water. Also, the crystal is mineral and not sapphire. You will have to be a little careful with it. For the price point of under $200 you can't beat it. If you need a real dive watch or a sapphire crystal you will have to pay a lot more. The Luminox Deep Dive 1500 (meets ISO 6425 dive watch requiements) is a real dive watch with a sapphire crystal. The Luminox Deep Dive 1500 will cost you $2000.00 retail (around $984 on Amazon). For civilian use I think the under $200 Luninox 3001.BO will be just fine. The way you can tell if a Luminox watch is a fake is as follows; The finish will have a glossy cheap plastic look instead of the flat matte carbon pc finish The product code on back will not be correct. The crown will have cheap flat edges instead of nice sharp edges. The Navy seal logo will be deep but not clear. The logo on a real luminox is not as deep but very clear. The Luminox from Watchsavers is authentic. If for any reason you don't like the watch you can always return it within 30 days to Amazon with no problems. The Amazon return process is just great and you get your refund right away. Hope this helps. Tradewind ... show more

  • Great Watch
I have a skinnier arm, so most of your modern large watches are just awkward. This watch is great in so many ways I'll probably forget a few while I am writing this. First off, the size is great. As I mentioned, I'm not a huge armed man, so this fits great on my wrist without looking abnormally large. The numbers are very easy to read and there aren't any problems with anything being to small to work with. I'm a truck driver, and I unload my own freight, so a watch is important, but one that is huge just gets beat up and scratched all to heck in no time anyway. Again, just great size wise. The "Luminox" technology is awesome, it's not bright enough to draw attention, but while going down the road in the middle of the night it takes no more than the briefest of glances to clearly tell what time it is. I've never had a watch this easy to read in the dark, it truly is amazing. I watched some reviews and checked Luminox's website and was skeptical, but I'm certainly a believer now. The watch also feels solid, there is nothing about this watch that suggests anything other than solid mechanics and materials. The crown has a positive resistance when pushed back in that makes me feel comfortable about the water resistance. Everything fits flush and moves smoothly without anything being loose or wonky. The band is something I thought out of the box I would be unhappy with, but after wearing for a couple of days I couldn't be more happy with it. Along with my skinny wrists, there is hair there as well, making the metal bands pull hair and just not be comfortable and most other plastic bands either having to be so tight the cut off circulation or just loose and able to have water and sweat get beneath them. This band "grips" the wrist well without cutting off circulation and stays in place as well as any other band I've heard of. It really is much more comfortable than a quick precursory glance might make you think. Simplicity. This watch is simple, not overly complicated but quite elegant in it's simplicity. And finally looks. I love the look of this watch. The all black layout is at once rugged and militaristic, covert even, while at the same time elegant and clean. I really do enjoy the look, feel and ruggedness of this watch. All around a great addition to anyone's collection, and that's before you take the Navy Seal and other's stamps of approval into account. ... show more

  • Quality product-readable in the dark
I compared cheaper watches, which were frankly too expensive for the quality of the other products. I have owned a rendition of this watch before and have always been pleased. The expense was steep, but it was the only watch that had the qualities that I required. I expedited that shipping and it came very quickly. ... show more

  • Best Luminox out there?
This is my second Luminox. The first was the Navy Seal Foundation watch which I liked alot but ultimately decided the was a little oversized for me, even with 7.5 inch wrists. This one is the perfect size and I appreciate that they did the tritium at each hour rather than at two hour increments which was kind of funky. I'm a desk jockey so can't attest to the tactical viability of this watch, but it looks and feels great. If I had any quibbles it would be that the date window is very small and should probably be omitted and, I really dislike the glare of acrylic but understand how it fits into the value prop. Overall, a piece I'm happy to add to the collection. ... show more

  • Cool looking fun watch.
Nice looking watch and easy to read at night. I'm 6.3/ 280 lbs, so I was a bit worried about ordering the 3001 because it is the smaller of the two in the Black out series. To my surprise the 3001 was a perfect fit and looks great on. The watch keeps great time and has a great feel to it. So far, so good! Update.. Two of the markers fell off inside the watch and now are loose, freely rattling around inside the watch. ... show more

  • Un bonito reloj
Llegó mucho antes de la fecha indicada y en perfecto estado, aunque está hecho en materiales plásticos, estos se ven de muy alta calidad.
