Hidden Brackets Brackets are installed along the top of the headrail. This allows them to be hidden from sight, but support the weight of the blind. Read more Important Facts: 1/2-inch Industry Standard Each blind is compliant with the 1/2-inch deduction. This means the blind you receive will be 1/2-inch shorter than what you ordered. This is standard both in-stores and online. Ordering Inside Mount If ordering for an inside mount, order the EXACT width of your window. You will receive a blind 1/2-inch shorter to allow for space in the window frame. Ordering Outside Mount If ordering for an outside mount, add three inches to your window width. You will receive a blind 1/2-inch shorter than what you ordered. This mean each side of your window opening will have a 1.25-inch overlay. 1-inch Slats The blind has 1-inch slats and is made of a PVC material. I bought eight similar blinds from a big box store a few months ago. They were a breeze to install. Eight blinds went up in about an hour total. Unfortunately the big box store discontinued them so I bought a couple of these instead. What a nightmare! Almost two hours to install two blinds. As other reviewers have said, the brackets are not quite right, and it is VERY, VERY difficult to snap the blinds in place. I read the reviews before I bought them and thought, "Oh, they just didn't know how to tweak the brackets by bending them a little." To each and every one I thought that about, please accept my sincerest apology. There is no amount of tweaking that would make these blinds snap easily into the brackets--and I am using the big box store blinds as my comparison. These brackets are just poorly sized and the only way to snap the blinds in is brute force. Unfortunately, that leads to the blinds being damaged, but the damage isn't very visible and I am NOT taking them back down. Once they were up, I found that they didn't hold the vertical position as well as the others I bought...these want to bounce back up a bit. Wish the big box store still carried them. Always be careful when reading negative reviews. There are a lot of really stupid people out there. One of the pictures for a 1 star review, a lady installed the bracket wrong.. you can clearly tell.. that’s why she was struggling. The facts: The brackets are very sturdy. I did an inside mount, these blinds aren’t coming down. The blinds are a little difficult to install. Unfortunately there is a point in the instructions where it requires you to use force. Well, that can mean differently to different peopl. My amount of force cause the bracket to puncture the blind. Luckily they were kind enough to replace the blind. On second effort with the replacement I was able to snap it in. Tip: follow instructions, place the mounting brackets as far away from the internal hardware as possible and use force, but don’t hulk it. More distance you have from the bracket to the internal hardware the more give the plastic has which makes it easier to get snapped in. I will be ordering more. ... show more

BRACKETS!!! So I bought the 62” L blinds because I was impressed with the price and I was having a hard time finding blinds this length at a reasonable price. Now, I’m no handy-woman, but the brackets on these things are the biggest pain I’ve come across. They are not the “block” brackets, but metal ones that the blinds click into. WORST DESIGN EVER!! The brackets make it impossible to use a power drill, and maybe I’m not strong enough to use a screwdriver to screw the screws into the 3/32” hole they say I need to drill, but I’ve yet to be able to screw one bracket to the window. Very frustrated. Hopefully my husband can get them in. ... show more

    • Impossible to install/Falty installation hardware

Although this product had good reviews I followed the detailed instructions and found that the bracket to install the blinds into did not fit the blinds and was impossible to snap into place as stated in the instructions. It’s a very simple installation yet the product itself does not work with the brackets given. I would never buy another set I bought 4 of them for my house we just moved into and all 4 had the same bracket issue not a good thing to run into when your trying to utilize a product that keeps your privacy in your house. I although purchased the same style blinds from a Walmart that were 15$ cheaper and they worked flawlessly. I hope someone avoids this product it will save you time frustration and money. ... show more

    • Easy install, solid construction

Instructions were very clear and the whole thing was super easy to install. I think it took longer for me to find the hammer and make the pilot holes (I don't have a drill) than it did to hang the blinds. The push up/pull down mechanism is much better than the traditional string pull, too.

    • Amazing Value - Especially for Custom Size Options
Greatest quality / price ratio of any blinds I've found in my 22 years of living on my own. Seems like windows are always a bit off from the standard sizes offered at the stores, and the ones you can have them cut to size are always noticeably more expensive. These are priced comparable to the economy, standard sized blinds, but offer additional value-adding features on top of the ability to order in custom sizes. Two things that stood out the most: they don't use those standard plastic side-mounting brackets most economy blinds use, but instead they use metal brackets that sit behind the blind and are quite discrete, whether mounted inside or outside the window frame; and they don't use the classic pull-string, but an internal mechanism that allows you to pull the blind down or up and it just stays where you leave it. Long story short: i bought some for my kids' bedrooms, and I am returning to buy more for the rest of the rooms in my house. If you can afford top-shelf, custom blinds, then go for it. If not, this is absolutely the best value for your money. ... show more

    • Loved the Concept
I think the concept was great, the sizing was off and the two I received were damaged. there were a lot pieces which seemed confusing to put together but I went onto YouTube and it seemed to be easy to set up the directions gave a whole other perspective.
