Fantastic window bird feeder. I had received a similar bird feeder by a different manufacturer. Each surface was glued to the other surface and while the feeder looked beautiful, it completely fell apart after a year. I ordered a second feeder from this same manufacturer and had the same result. When I looked at this company’s one piece design for the feeder and separate removable tray, I decided to invest the additional amount to purchase this feeder (still less than purchasing two of the other feeders in two years). While I did not step on the feeder as was shown in the video, it does appear that it will not have issues like my former window feeders. It is a sleek design and allows for great viewing of birds as they come to feed. On a side note, my first window feeder was a gift and while I love birds, I was skeptical of having droppings land on our lower window which tilts out below the feeder. I quickly found this was not a concern. The birds will sometimes leave droppings, but they predominately land in the tray which then needs to be washed before refilling… the reason my older feeder fell apart at the seams. This feeder stays attached to the window for the season. It’s easy to fill and provides great entertainment for my grandson. I tried other less expensive versions which I wound up returning. I ordered 2 more for friends!

    • Beware of squirrels
It works well in the sense that it stays in place, it is easy to clean and refill because the tray comes out and you can fill it inside the house then pop the tray back in. I have mine on the top half of a double hung windows and I open the window directly next to it to get the tray to fill it. That being said, it is extremely easy for a squirrel to chill in it and go to town on the seed. Depending on where your window is, squirrels will be able to get to this and once they do it’s basically a squirrel feeder. I’ve had the occasional afternoon bird come by but from morning to lunch it’s the squirrels food. Still neat to see a squirrel really up close though. ... show more

We have a lot of blue jays (which can be a sizeable bird) and there is more than enough room for a couple to land on the feeder and forage around. The suction cups haven't come off since I stuck them on a few months ago (clean the glass first). I love that the actual feed pan is removable so I can bring it inside to fill instead of carrying a big bag of feed out there every time, or use an awkward cup. It took a while for the birds to initially find the feeder, as expected. I had to place seed on my patio here and there to "lead them to it" since it's on my patio door and not out in the open.     • The circle feeder is a better shape than this rectangle
I have a circular feeder just like this and it works better for viewing the birds. The rectangular feeder does not allow for taller birds (cardinals, etc) to land on the edge of the feeder and get their heads inside to get the seed. I’ve had little chickadees and small birds land in the feeder because they fit inside . Plus they end up kicking the seed out as they hop and skitter around. ... show more
