  • An L-Desk That ACTUALLY Makes Use of the Middle Section!!! BEWARE OF SETUP!
Size: 71.2"
Here's the GOOD: The list of affordable desks on Amazon is littered with L-Shaped desks that don't take advantage on the middle section. I don't want to be scooting my chair from side-to-side, only using 40% of the desk at each end and leaving the corner for random crap. The curved design of this desk lets you make use of that corner, allowing for more active space in your direct view and plenty space on the periphery that is within your reach (I'd say I can reach maybe 70-80% of the desk sitting at the middle section, with the edges left for things I don't need access to immediately). I haven't earthquake tested this, but it's sturdiness is more than serviceable (nothing special to say, it holds things and doesn't break, woohoo??) Here's the BAD and the UGLY, and enough people in the reviews have mentioned these things that they're clearly not one-off occurrences. Setting this desk up ranged from mildly painful to borderline infuriating. 1. The metal support for the middle section came warped. 2. the holes on the PC stand were too small to screw in with the included driver. 3. the holes on the keyboard tray were lopsided on one side. 4. The middle section was a nightmare to attach and came out uneven at first (*** BE CAREFUL HERE, I was stupid and followed the instructions and tried to assemble this part upright. I had the middle section fall down several times with the screws set on one side, which almost splintered the wood. GET A FRIEND FOR THIS, and try flipping everything upside down at this step so you don't have to worry about stability. Screw in everything tightly, and maybe add some weight on top while screwing everything in to avoid the unevenness). 5. The metal stand that is meant to support the middle section doesn't touch the ground (*** I have the desk on the carpet, so maybe that is the issue. I put the wood from the PC stand under it and it works, fixed the unevenness too). I hope you understand that these are pretty significant issues with the packaging and design that the negative reviews for this product are warranted and you should factor this in HEAVILY into your purchase decision. HOWEVER, when all is said and done, I am extremely happy with this desk. It's bigger than I expected, which can be good or bad depending on your space. I'm using this desk for music recording, photography/art design, as well as for some gaming, writing, and work, and I love how much space I still have after all that I've added. A nice curved monitor, +30", would sit very well in the middle, especially on the hovering stand. It's such a nice setup that I've already forgotten about the assembly. ALL in ALL, I'm happy with this purchase. The assembly and some of the fubar parts are almost unacceptable, but if that won't stop you, you'll have a very nice L-Desk option for $200 or less. ... show more

  • Big desk, low price!
Size: 71.2"
I was able to set up the desk on my own in a few hours, but it would be faster with someone else to help or at least move it into place. The instructions are not the easiest to read, but easy enough to figure out. Some of the drilled holes for screws don't line up properly, specifically the ones for mounting the wheels on the PC stand, but that is optional. It was also difficult to get some of the screws into holes in the metal poles because the screws were too big or hole too small, but an electric screwdriver for some extra power helps a lot with all those issues. Also, don't fully tighten all the screws until you have everything in place, especially with the curved center piece and the metal pieces attached to it. As for the product itself, it looks great but is not as sturdy as other desks I have used. It can wobble a bit, and I'm not sure it can support over 400lbs as the description says, at least not on one section at a time but maybe spread across the entire thing. I don't feel safe having my 60" flatscreen and its stand resting on top of the desk so I'm looking into a wall mount instead. The only other downside is the wood supports at the middle of the desk aren't great for your legs if you try to barely spin in your chair. Having a C shape cut into them could help for a future version of this model. The keyboard tray is also small, its easy to push it back further than it should go and it gets stuck. Its not great for a keyboard and mouse, but maybe for a plate of food. Some design charge to the previously mentioned wood supports in the middle could also allow for a larger keyboard tray. Some pros for the desk though is that it is big. More than enough room for two or even three monitors, even having your PC on the desk if you don't want it on the floor and it is too big to fit on the PC stand. Value for the money is great. Especially if you want a big desk. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. found lots of space on this desk. Assembly: there were a few things that struck me as odd when assembling. the PC base could barley fit my mid sized PC. so if i needed to work in it I would be forced to remove it from that base. also the wheels didn't line up with there counter synced holes. the center peace is a pain to install would recommend assembly of the frame before installing any of the top. as it just gets in the way of adjusting any of the hardware. Sturdiness: once assembled do not move. as I've assembled mine in a rather tight space i feel lucking my seams are tight and for the most part level. it took an extraordinary amount of effort to get the desk to sit level. in part to do with the ply of carpet I'm on. and partly to do with the inner leg portions. the knee wreckers, toe stubers. this is something i feel a known issue in furniture that is also common so. guess I'm just going to learn to live with it. keyboard tray could have come out another 3 maybe 5 CM would be peachy. but 24" wide it has to be the best one I've had. though as a gamer bigger is always better. ive had to set my dpi to 3100 to adjust to the limited mouse space. Value: this is kinda what i expected for a desk this size. just a tad more than i wanted to spend. but with above issues i feel like it could have better addressed those issue. ... show more

  • Very durable & sturdy
Size: 71.2"
It did take awhile to put together only because it's a long desk. It's pretty big. I didn't think it would be that big but once it came in the mail, I was surprised; it's a good price for it to be that big! I used it for about 3 years before switching to a smaller desk. This desk was very good because I was able to have multiple monitors in the middle and there's two other desk on the side of me that I was able to put other things. Like my laptop, paperwork and other things. The desk was just big enough and I had a lot of room for gaming. It would definitely be a good work desk for the office as well. I work in an office and know that our desks can get pretty crowded. With this desk, you'd have enough room to put paperwork and have room to have multiple monitors to get work done faster. ... show more
