I got the Toffee and the color is a beautiful Saddle tone--Leather is real nice--I usually take a 7M in a dress shoe--but in boots always get them larger for winter socks and a 7 1/2 W was perfect and not cramped in the toe area--It has nice zippers on both sides of the boots and I feel for the price there a really good buy as I found them very comfortable with a nice size heel and a pretty good non slip sole of a rubber type product--that doesn't have a lot of big grooves to collect gravel and mud to track inside--as we do live out in the country ... show more

    • BUY THEM! Awesome boots at a great price!
This is my second pair of the Lucky Women's Basel Boot. My first pair was purchased from the brick & mortar Lucky Brand store last Thanksgiving weekend. I absolutely fell in LOVE with that first pair in the Toffee color. My only complaint was that it was a little tight across the ball of my feet but that was easily remedied by taking them to my local shoe repair and having them stretched. Once I did that they were perfect! So perfect in fact that when I saw them here on Amazon I jumped at the chance for another pair, this time in the Italian Olive suede. This pair was perfect right out of the box with no need for stretching which I attributed to the material being suede and softer by nature. And the rubber sole means no slippery break-in time - they feel like sneakers! I've worn them about a half dozen times now (one day walking all over downtown) and they are amazingly comfy and supportive as is the first pair in Toffee. They have the perfect heel height for comfort AND style. I've worn both pairs with skinny jeans, skirts and dresses and I get compliments every time. My only note about sizing is that I usually wear a 7 in closed toe shoes but found the 7 to be a bit too big so sized down to a 6.5 which fits like a glove. My feet are narrow so I'm not sure how gals with wider feet would do in these boots especially given that I needed the first pair stretched a bit, but I refuse to wear shoes that are even a tiny bit uncomfortable so maybe those that don't have that as a priority won't mind a little snug-ness around the balls of the feet. I've read that some who bought these boots felt they haven't held up well, especially when worn in wet weather. This has not been my experience. In fact I just wore the Olive suede ones many days in a row and as I mentioned above walking all over downtown one day and they still look gorgeous and brand new. We've had a ton of rain lately, but I did not wear them in the wet weather because I didn't want them to get wrecked as is my habit whenever it gets rainy. I generally wear rain boots or water proofed UGGS when it rains so I don't ruin my nicer shoes, but that's easy for me since I live in SoCal and we have long dry spells between wet weather. Hope this review helps those who are considering these awesome boots. My advice: BUY THEM! For this price they are fantastic! I may actually get a third pair! ;-) ... show more

These are nice ankle boots and very soft luxurious leather, no breaking in needed. The heel is a perfect height for casual wear and looks very smart with almost anything. I have several pairs of these in different colors, and paid a bit more at the department stores. They came in the original Lucky Brand box in perfect condition. I took one star off as the coloring on the rubber heel was chipping off. I used some shoe dye to cover the area, it took several layers of dye. I love the fit and comfort of these, and the exquisite quality of the leather. If you like comfort and style, you will love these. ... show more

The boots are nice however they are too tight. My size is a 7M which is what I ordered, but they are so tight and uncomfortable that they must be returned. Too tight to even try and break in.

It’s so comfortable, and the leather is better than a picture can illustrate. Totally impressed with this brand and the quality. You could walk all day in these. I wear 8.5, regular width, I have high arches and the fit is like a glove! Camel color goes with everything. I actually like these better than the black leather pair I also purchased before these. Believe in this brand dressy or casual. Absolute value for money spent, puts a little swagger in your step. Corny but true!! Editing as still love boots but the heel color is wearing off to show pale yellow plastic after wearing wet weather 3 times. These are fair weather boots? So sad it’s coming off. ... show more

    • Love these shoes, but Lucky Brand zippered shoes SUCK

I've had numerous pairs of these Lucky Brand zippered Basels bootie. All of my pairs of these shoes the zipper either gave up immediately or eventually it wore out and would split/no longer zip properly. This shoe's zipper arrived ALREADY split and unable to use - on a supposedly brand new shoe! I have completely given up on these shoes, which is sad because they are adorable. If Lucky Brand would just fix the zipper problem on all these bootie shoes.....it's a problem that has existed since at least 2016 when I started buying them. This shoe feels very comfortable, although not enough heel cushioning than I would prefer but still an affordable and overall durable shoe for wearing to work or church for several years as long as they don't get severely scuffed. ... show more
