Lucini is one of the best producers in Italy, however the bottle that I received was harvested in 2019 and I purchased this bottle in August 2022. The taste is better than any of the $10 EVO's that I have tried at the market. The problem is that there are very few nutrients remaining after three or four years. I think I saw a few antioxidants with canes trying to hang on but their days are numbered. According to the cable channel food experts, olive oil doesn't improve with age like wine does. One expert who's initials are Katie Parla, discourages buying olive oil that isn't from a current harvest. ... show more

As a mediterranean, I am generally not in favor of US-style olive oils, and always looking for something taste like Greek or Italian or Turkish olive oils. This is the closest olive oil to that smell and taste. Wonderful.

I am not an expert in the kitchen but I have tried using a variety of olive oils. I like this type the best of those commonly seen in larger grocery stores. I am sure smaller specialty shops carry better varieties.
