  • The Cal king size frame "Lucid" is not the right size.
Size: California King Color: Beige
Your California King Size "Lucid" bed frame is 4 inches too wide, and 2 inches too short for our California King size mattress which has the standard measurements. Here is a picture for you to give us a solution. We can't disassemble to return due to health problems. It took us 3 hours to assemble. Please contact us to see how you can remedy this situation. Thank you, By the way, this is our second contacting you with this problem. ... show more

  • Be open minded to other reviews. Modifications necessary
The media could not be loaded. Okay. Let me start off by saying this procuct is a great value IF youre willing to sacrifice a few hours of your day and a little sweat and frustration. Definitely helped me being openminded about the product after reading some other reviews. We purchased the Cal King size and a few modifications had to be done in order to make this a suitable frame that was sturdy enough to support us. Starting off in assembly, everything was pretty easy. The box arrived and wasn't beat up or opened. It was taped well and items were packaged securely. Everything included besides spring washers which are only needed for headboard attachment (which we didnt need anyways). The main legs to the frame are sturdy and screwed right into the head and foot boards. The frame itself connectind with an alan wrench and was a breeze to put together. We ran into our first issue when it came time to add the support legs inside the frame. The original legs are too thin and there is only 4 legs to support a whole cal king bed. Also the legs were about an inch shorter than were needed so the bed would have sagged in the middle and probably broke had we not noticed that! We constructed our own suport legs with 2 by 4s and 3 inch screws. Also took some new measurements for how long the legs actually needed to be. We made 6 legs instead of the 4 original ones and mapped out new placement for them on the wooden beams and predrilled holes (video included of legs we made). After that hurdle was over we came to our next one. The slats were too long (width) for the bed! Thankfully we had a power saw on hand because we had to cut off about a half inch of wood off every slat to get a fit without damaging the fabric inside of the frame. Also, even with the shorter slats, the frame had to be pushed/pulled apart from the inside to help the slats slide down into their position properly. We had to predrill new holes for the screws for our modifications to secure slats to frame so we didnt crack the compressed wood of the frame. But as long as you have patience, some tools, a friend, and a measuring tape you can definitely turn this 250$ frame into a 500$ frame. Also, "offgassing" other people spoke about is not an issue for us. Smell is present but not overwhelming or strong at all. ... show more

  • Exceeded expectations!
We’ve long desired a bed larger than Queen and had recently purchased a memory foam Cali King mattress. After deciding we would keep it we needed to get it off the floor and so the search began. Between the limited space in the bedroom, functional preferences, design preferences and price range our options were few. This frame was one of the few which checked most boxes and we are happy with the decision. Cons: Whether purchasing frame, headboard or the combo the availability and shipping dates were all over the place. Since I wasn’t willing to wait 2 months it forced me into certain options. These factors are likely in flux all the time so no stars off for that. Storage... none. There is about a 4” gap at the bottom around the bed so you won’t be sliding anything underneath and there’s no platform to lift so you can’t get under the mattress either. There were no expectations that this item would allow for any storage so no stars off for that. VERY heavy! Trying to get a cat out from underneath for a Vet appointment was not fun. (A hockey stick or broom will help though!) My cat, my problem, no stars off. :-) Pros: VERY heavy! sturdy, no squeaking. Doesn’t get pushed around if you lean or bang into it. It assembles quickly if you have a drill with a screwdriver bit and a 6” extension. Even in a tight space we had this together in about 30 minutes. Appearance and quality is high. There was one tiny thread we clipped and one dirty smudge where the carton had torn. Cleaned up easily. We got the light beige, very neutral, but we probably would’ve liked the light gray as well. That may have been the toughest decision. No more banging my head on the wall when I lean back! Still recovering from a severe concussion in 2018, now the soft/padded heard board saves me from my own stupidity. Misc: We bought the combo together as one. It’s exactly the same as buying them separately. Even the order lines indicate this after it is processed. This means you will receive extra pieces for attaching the headboard so you don’t need most of what’s in the box. If you only buy one or the other to compliment something you already own there’s a good chance the included parts will be all you need. Thank you to all the other reviewers who attached photos! They were very helpful! ... show more

  • Need to improve packaging
Size: California King Color: Stone
Overall, we are enjoying our bed. They need to improve how they package it since it arrived with damage from shipping. Thankfully most of the damage faces the interior that is not visible and we needed the bed so badly we didn’t have time to hassle with returning it.

  • For the Price, It's a Wonder
Size: California King Color: Black
I purchased the Cali King sized frame, assembly was easy enough. The wood pieces to the frame are rough and splintering off in places, but so far it seems durable. There is a weird amount of extra space at the head and foot of the bed frame. My only real complaint is that a few of the holes to secure pieces had not been drilled yet: there were holes in the slats, but no corresponding holes in the bed frame. I don't know if that's a deliberate design or an oversight, but I would need a drill to secure all the pieces of the bed frame. The instructions say you'll only need a screwdriver. Not a big deal though, and for the price I am impressed. It looks good, It was sturdy enough for me to drag across the floor while I rearranged furniture, loaded up with a box spring and a mattress. There is a big, ugly tag on the outside of the head of the bed though. If anyone wants their bed in the middle of the room. ... show more
