Straight to the point: It came fully assembled. I was able to lift the package straight off my porch where it was delivered and within 10 minutes on my own was able to fix it up in my room. (queen size frame only). I'd say unless you're not very strong or you have stairs you shouldn't need an extra person to help. The only "assembly" if you want to call it that is the optional legs you can screw into the bottom which I did choose to do and only takes about 60 seconds. The frame itself works flawlessly. Just plug in and it was ready to go. The remote is nice... Do wish they included some sort of ... holder solution to the remote though so it won't get lost or end up outside of arms reach while in bed. Like they could have included a magnet attachment or something... maybe some kinda string or line to attach to the remote... a remote holder or something idk. I can't comment on any health benefits this might have for sleeping. My back is fine, I have no pain as it is or acid reflux or anything like that that would have made a bed like this good. I was very nervous about this purchase and did a lot of research before I picked this model. It was surprisingly easy to put together and feels very sturdy. The remote works great and I love the "FLAT" button to put it back down all at once. I have a very firm, very thick memory foam mattress and I'm still trying to get it to conform to the bottom settings, but it's getting there. This was a big purchase for me and with severe spinal issues, I had a lot riding on it. I'm very happy with it so far. It was well worth the money and I use it's features every single day. This frame is really easy to assemble once unpacked. The first remote overheated and stopped working shortly after receiving, the battery compartment got really hot and it never worked again. Lucid was able to replace the remote in a timely manner. As far as adjustments go, the movement of the bed is pretty quick. The only issue is that the mattress tends to skew on the platform regularly. Each morning, it requires squaring the mattress back up to the frame, otherwise sitting on edge of bed might easily dump you on the floor. ... show more

    • A Couple Of Facts Worth Knowing

Earlier this year in May, I ordered a pair of Lucid Twin XL adjustable frames for a King size bed and so when I ordered a Lucid L150 Queen adjustable frame on December 2nd, I was already aware of their excellent quality. However, It took me quite awhile to order one because I live in a nearly 200 year old house and I needed to figure out wether or not I could get the 79.5”L by 59.5”W by 14”H adjustable frame weighing 144 lbs, up our narrow twisting stairway. At 78 years of age I doubted even with a younger stronger helper that was going to ever work. Thus I spent a number of hours over a bunch of days reading and eventually I saw and remembered that when the adjustable frames are shipped these frames, which are hinged, are then doubled over so that when the Queen frame arrives in a carton, the 79.5”L is half that @ approximately 40.0”L and and so the carton is then 40”l by 60.0”W. Those dimensions certainly solve the stairway width and length issue but even after unboxing the frame, 144 lbs is still a lot of weight for two people to try and get up a twisting stairs. Yesterday after it arrived I was still concerned. After I unboxed it my wife said look while the unit is doubled over in the box, just by removing four bolts and one easily detachable / reconnect-able wire, you can separate the adjustable frames into two sub assembly units which then weigh approximately 72 pounds each. I quickly did that and when my friend stopped by later it took us about fifteen minutes to move the two separate 72 lb pieces (40”L by 60”W) upstairs and to rebolt it & to reconnect the wire back into a single hinged frame. It doesn’t require you to become a rocket scientist. I’m not sure why Lucid doesn’t prominently indicate the size these units are shipped in and how easy it is to adjust the weight for transporting these frames once they’re in the house. All the research I performed would not have been necessary and I would’ve have missed out on the Black Friday sale price because of it either. I know when I order something like this I want to be pretty damn sure the item isn’t going to have to be returned and so this information would be most helpful in addition to knowing the adjustable frame was going to fit inside my existing king and queen bed frames, which they both did very nicely. ... show more
