  • Worked perfectly
Color: Black Hose
Direct fit no problems at all

  • Great for a pain in the rear repair
Color: Black Hose
When I received this part, I had not yet taken the old hose out - we were making do with the torn one. The new hose looked impossibly small, so I actually ordered a different one for the same models listed (on eBay). The repair is an enormous pain - you end up removing 11-12 screws of different lengths (all but one with Torx heads) to access the old hose and collars. We had to finish the destruction of the old hose, which was glued, to remove it. We tried the eBay hose, and the diameter was too large. I had tossed this one into a drawer, because it couldn’t be returned. When we tried it, it screwed right in as it should, despite looking too small and having quite a bit of memory to want to go back to the compressed configuration. After reconstructing the vacuum head, we turned on the vacuum and it worked like it was new! Advice for this repair: don’t worry when this part looks too small - it was the correct one for our NV680_N 40. The youtube video that helped us the most was by House Doctor Ray. Get yourself a Torx multi-head tool for about $7 ahead of this repair to minimalise swearing when you realize Shark has made this repair as difficult as possible in hopes that you will quit and buy new. Don’t let them win!! ... show more

  • Perfect fit for a NV681 series
Color: Black Hose
There are multiple videos online of how to correctly disassemble the vac motor unit to get access to replace this part and is pretty easy to do providing you have the correct torx tool. Once apart, getting the old hose separated from the both ends it threads into is not overly simple. If an original hose it is going to feel like it is glued in (and may be), so to get separated will require destroying the old hose more that it is already damaged. I found I could get a small screw driver under one of the hose threads and pry up that thread, and from there could follow it around and around until I could pull separating the hose from body. The new hose then very simply screwed into position - perfect fit! Vacuum now works as good as day one! ... show more

  • My vacuum sucks again!
Color: Black Hose
The hardest part was taking vacuum cleaner head apart and putting things back together. Your best chance for success is to type the name of your model's "name + lower duct repair" into YouTube search and review all the videos that come up. To take mine apart I needed both a Phillips screw driver and a special tool called a security/ tamper resistant Torx driver. the head of these screws has the torx pattern but but a pin in the center preventing a regular torx driver from being used. Amazon has a bunch, search "safety torx set". ... show more

  • Length too short for specified Model application
Color: Hose
Intended to replace a split hose on a Shark vacuum. The replacement hose was the correct diameter, but it was too short. I had to use an undamaged section of the old hose to combine with the new hose to create and use a replacement hose. The purchase specifications showed it would fit my model, but they were incorrect. ... show more

  • Perfect Fit for NV681_N 40
Color: Hose
I have An NV 681_N 40 manufacture stated they discontinued powered head and they dont support having parts for vacuum. for any one that cares the hose is 1 3/8 inch hose fit the first time a lot of the other hoses are 1 1/2 inch hoses that don't work this was the 2nd hose i had to order from different suppliers. Not only that it got to me in 1 day i order it at 9:00pm and by 4:00pm the next day i had parts in had and by 9:00pm i had clean up the old parts and installed new ones with no issues other than they were a bit difficult to get on the plastic inside the base and handle. there are no good video of taking apart this unit it has a bunch of hidden parts and things that snap together make Shure you have the finger dexterity to pull hinge apart as it is a bit of a bear to get apart oh watch out for the hidden screw under the gasket for the brush roller it is right in the middle and it is stupid tiny you will miss it unless your looking for it ... show more

Color: Black Hose
Install wasn't bad if you are handly at repairs on things. Take pictures before to reinstall parts correctly. Hose save me from big $$ vs replacement. Will do again
