My friend and I used these on a recent 10-day cruise. I wasn't sure I'd use them, but everyone told me to get these for a cruise. I did end up being great full for them. As others have stated, they won't hold much, when placed on a wall. They'll slide down. However, placed on the ceiling (typically close to the wall), they hold MUCH more weight. I used it for my beach-bag/purse, camera, and some on the wall for light weight things such as a shaw, hat, etc. It was convenient not having to slide my suitcase out from under the bed each time I wanted one of these daily basics. 1 pack is more than enough hooks for 2 people. ... show more

These are as advertised but I can't quite give five stars because they did not fully work for my use case. I bought these after reading an article on how to prepare for a cruise. If you didn't know, walls on cruise ships are all metal so this is a nice travel hack. However, these were just shy of the power needed to hold anything significant. I don't fully blame the design here as the magnets are really strong. If you want to hang a light photo or maybe an oven mitt from your fridge, no problem. But, to hang a sweatshirt (what I wanted) just wasn't possible as the hook would slide down the wall. I do think a different material on the magnetic side may have solved this problem.
