We stayed on the Liberty of the Seas and the walls were indeed magnetic! They did the job, except we were excited about the 30lb capacity, but just keep in mind it all depends on the surface you're magnetizing to. On our cruise, there was a thin layer of padding that was slippery, so if you put anything over 2lb or so on the hook it would slide down the wall. Just keep that in mind. The hooks are nothing fancy but do the job for hanging 1 hat, empty bags, swimsuits, etc. They're very small, which is actually nice on a cruise where you don't want to be walking into them accidentally. The hooks come disassembled but are easy and quick to screw together. Pro-tip, make sure to attach the hook to the magnetic base BEFORE trying them out because otherwise they can be tricky to get off the wall/surface! ... show more

These are smaller than I thought but they are really strong and they work great for what I wanted them for. I used one to hang up my dustpan and attached broom on the file cabinet in my mud room. I use some of the others to hang things on my refrigerator.

I bought and returned maybe 6 different kinds of hooks trying to find ones that actually held nicely for a cruise. I bought the 130 pound version of these (along with some magnetic spice rack shelves to add some shelves for little things) and it worked great for our cruise. The magnets are so strong. We hung swimsuits and towels on them. I never hung up my bag, but it probably would have held it. I did bring double sided dress tape that I thought I might use between the magnets and wall if I needed help from it sliding with extra weight. But I never needed the tape with what I hung up, we never had issues sliding. And now I have them on my steel laundry room door for extra storage to hang things that need dried. ... show more

These are a must for space saving on a cruise in a small room,this was out our first cruise and I thought I had they setup in a space saving way but the housekeeping had WAY better trips and tricks for them,these weren't heavy enough weight for me personally so I will be getting different ones that can hold more weight,but these work great in a pinch. ... show more
