  • Tiny and Tinny
Oh Prime Days, you have sucked me in once again. I was so excited about the price that I didn’t read the reviews. The Xylophone is cute, but tiny, just shy of 10” long. The sound is tinny, but it’s OK for our grandson. If he really likes it as he gets older we will get him a better sounding one.

  • Poorly made
Definitely not good for a young child. Very poorly made.

  • NOT PITCHED!
I was trying to use this for a class activity of matching colors to notes, but these are not based on the scale! Also, the individual bars are out of tune with itself, creating a Gamelan effect

  • Its ok
I was given this toy to review hoping it would be a beginner instruments for kids to have fun with. The overall quality is decent enough with just a few pieces of wood and metal blocks to hit. The first 4 keys sound okay (actually really just the large Red one has a nice tone to it) the rest of them struggle to put out any instrumental kind of sounds. The last 4 blocks just sound like metal no matter how light or hard you hit them. I can't recommend this product a good gift because really only half of it sounds easy on the ears, the other half is metal crashing together. The toy cost $10 and I do believe that a toddler would have fun playing it regardless therefore I guess it makes an ok purchase. I would however recommend a different product. All 8 keys should have a nice tone to them and this one only has about 4. ... show more

  • Looks cute, but tiny and not tuned at all. My chickens like them ok.
I actually got these for my chickens, so they're fine for the chickens to peck to entertain themselves, and they're cute in the chicken pen. The chickens don't care whether they're in tune.

  • It will make a nice gift.
The LovesTown wooden Xylophone, is oh so cute! We can’t wait for our grandson to start banging on it. Its colorful. It’s seems to be made pretty well. It’s about 10”x 5” with 8 different tones on it, with 2 mallets which I think are actually very small, keep an eye on the little ones because of their size. It will make a nice gift. I would have given it 5 stars if the mallets were a little bigger. ... show more

  • Cute for 1 year old birthday gift
Not a real musical instrument but fun for a 1 year old’s birthday gift which we got it for. Good for the low price.

  • Nice toy, not musical instrument
This is fun for little ones to play with, but does not make musical notes, just different sounds. It's sturdy, and bright and colorful. Kids love to bang on it and hear the different sounds, but they won't be able to play real tunes, which is a shame. A first musical toy should be able to play a simple tune. This one can't. Would not recommend. ... show more
