This Louisville Ladder 16 feet fiberglass extension ladder has a 375 lbs. load capacity, rated ANSI IAA Type. This extension ladder is great for working on electrical, utility, light construction and residential jobs. It features D shaped rungs that are fully serrated for a slip resistant surface. Includes two extra heavy-duty slide guides to prevent over extending the extension ladder. Equipped with the MAXLOCK rung lock, engineered to be the strongest, toughest, lightest rung lock ever made for extension ladders. This extension ladder also includes the patented QuickLatch system that provides a simple, intuitive method of securing the ladder when extended. Features wivel safety shoes with overmolded polymer tread that be used with the tread down or in spike position. I purchased this ladder as a present for my husband, and I am more than pleasantly surprised at how much he likes it. Unlike other ladders I looked at, this ladder DOES come with a rope and pulley to extend the ladder, as well as moveable leveling feet to help you keep firmly balanced. And the ladder is STURDY. Nothing lightweight about this! My husband is a big guy - not pushing the 300 lb mark, but a good 240-250 lbs. and he says he feels very secure climbing this ladder. Having a Prime membership paid for itself with this one purchase. It would have been impossible for us to drive to the local hardware store and bring a ladder this heavy home on the roof of our car, so to have it delivered right to our front door at no extra charge? It just doesn't get better than that. Don't hesitate. I purchased the 24 ft version of this ladder. It is very sturdy and feels stable when climbing. I like the quick latch rung lock, but you have to remember to unlock it on the way down if you need to lower the fly section. Otherwise you will have to climb back up to unlock it. I'm 5' 8" 175 lbs and I have no problems carrying it around myself, and it is possible to raise by yourself if you are strong or work with ladders a lot, but I would recommend having someone else to help so it is easier. I also have a Ladder-Max Stand-off Stabilizer which adds a few additional pounds and makes it harder to raise because it sticks out from the ladder by 19 inches. I have Amazon Prime so I bought from Amazon directly and ABF delivered it in 4 days (a week earlier than my chosen delivery date). It did ship with cardboard wrapping (see attached photo) so I didn't have any issues with it being damaged in transit like others mentioned. ... show more

It's 55 pounds, but can be lifted by one person when picked up in the middle. It feels steady when properly supported and will hold the 300 pound rating. The locking mechanism is a bit tricky, but secure once extended.

This ladder was purchased because I wanted one that was sturdy and would last. This latter meets all those expectations. It by far was not the cheapest or the lightest by any means. I wanted one that would last a long time and I have every reason to believe this ladder will do so.

The ladder was delivered at early end of the estimated delivery date range, with a call to set up an appropriate delivery date/time. It was packed and wrapped nicely, and when i unwrapped it, it was in perfect condition. It is very sturdy and the extension operates very smoothly. Product is well built minus they switch the latches to plastic instead of aluminum, shipping was horrible received busted up the first time and the second deep gouges, 40 labels affixed to it both shipping and from the manufacturer, and had written all over the side of it in permanent marker. Do yourself a favor go buy from Lowe’s or Home Depot where you can inspect the ladder, it will save you a lot of headache. Amazon was quick to resolve this he matter but doesn’t make it any less frustrating. ... show more

Very solid ladder, price is better than the big box stores with free delivery. I bought this ladder to replace some siding that fell off the side of my house, and my 16 ft ladder was not long enough. I am 220 lbs so I wanted a ladder rated to at least 250 lbs. This ladder is easy enough to move around and use by only one person, is nice and wide, and feels very solid. Price wise this ladder is a little more expensive then the big box stores, but with fee delivery come in much lower if you do not have any way to transport a ladder this large home.
