Description

The Little Giant Velocity is a lightweight two person ladder constructed of a special alloy that makes it 20 percent lighter than any comparable industrial- rated ladder. The Velocity also includes several innovative new features such as the dual-pin hinge and the easy-to-use Rock Locks for quick adjustment. The Velocity can be used in many unique configurations as an A-frame, extension, staircase and 90-degree ladder, and with Velocity Trestle Brackets (sold separately) to form a trestle-and-plank scaffolding system. The Velocity’s wide-flared legs and aerospace-grade aluminum construction provide an unmatched feeling of safety and stability. The Little Giant Velocity is rated to hold 300 pounds on both sides and is a true two-person ladder.

I've used my 26' ladder in several configurations and love it. It's extremely sturdy and durable in any configuration, and can be safely handled by one person (although for some jobs, 2 is a good idea). It's been great to have for indoor and outdoor work around the house. I've had to contact Little Giant customer service for an issue and their response was polite, quick, and they immediately worked to resolve my ladder's issue under warranty. It didn't cost me a thing. My particular ladder had a defect in one of the two latching mechanisms, which meant that when the ladder was extended one of the latches would give way even with minimal weight on it. The second latching mechanism would keep the extension in place enough that I didn't fall, but the ladder didn't feel secure to stand on. I contacted customer service, which is available online and by phone, and submitted a claim. They asked for my contact information and then sent me a message asking for any details about the issue. They had the option to email or text pictures/video of the problem, which made explaining the problem really simple. I wish all companies had such modern ways to make warranty claims! I was able to communicate directly with the engineer assigned to my case and, after they reviewed my video of the problem, they approved a new ladder extension to be sent out to me at their own expense. I've had and used this ladder for six months now, and I can't say enough good things about it. I've had other multi-stage ladders before but nothing compares to the convenience, sturdiness, and usability of this ladder. The way they designed the release buttons for all the adjustments is just brilliant. So easy for one person to use. The levers that lock and release the extensions have two positions... Push it all the way and the extension slides up and down with ease. With a touch you can release it to the mid-position that allows them to lock into place at the next position it arrives at. Then the release for the hinge is also simple to use. Just give it a good hit with the palm of your hand and it is unlocked. By the way the shape of this button is big and round so you don't feel a thing when you pop it to unlock it. I also feel very safe on this ladder even when it is fully extended to 26 feet! I will say that at full extension I need a second person to help me set it because it is a bit top heavy by design, but I had no problem doing it myself at shorter lengths. I LOVE THIS LADDER! And I don't expect I will ever need another ladder in my life. ... show more

I really like collapsible ladders, and this one is perfect, it allows me to clean my 2nd floor gutters, and gave me perfect reach to hang Christmas lights up into the roof peaks. The extension locks are easy to use, and function perfectly. Overall the ladder is light, but when trying to put it against the house at full extension can be a bit difficult if working alone. ... show more

Just wanted to say we are very pleased with the 26' Little Giant. Hubby & I have been considering purchasing one for years and with the heavy rain and gutters that needed cleaning we decided to give it a try when a little plant decided it had found a good home. : ) The ladder's learning curve was about 10 minutes - the instructions are very easy to follow...even for a girly girl and the rungs have a great secure-sounding clank when they're properly locked into place. 5 Stars - the top priority for a ladder in my view is to feel secure when using it & I didn't have any worries or fear. It's solid. The only "down" sides are that singularly the rungs are a little thin (I have size 7 feet). When doubled they're fine. Given the construction it totally makes sense why they're thin and I wouldn't change a thing - just be prepared for it. As others have mentioned, the ladder is quite heavy - 50lbs doesn't sound too bad until you consider it's a large object but just fold it up and drag it along via the wheels and relocating it is a breeze. Overall, we're very please with the investment and in an afternoon addressed a number of home maintenance tasks that we'd put on hold for a quite a while. First of all Amazon delivery on this was on point. Wife was very impressed! Second, yeah this ladder is heavy, there’s a lot to it for that height! Very comparable to my shorter ladder actually, also multi-position but Cosco brand. Any guy worth their salt should easily be able to manage this. I hefted it through deep icy snow banks 😄. Ladies, might have issues depending on individual strength. Thirdly, this thing is soooo easy to change positions on! My shorter other brand one is doable but kinda annoying. This thing is slick and fast! Even had it at a slight kitty-whompas angle against my roof line to check the chimney and besides a bit of expected bounce at the middle, this was rock solid at the top. I’m massively afraid of heights and this thing helps a ton! ... show more
