I bought these to use at an outdoor festival. I used them several times for different acts and they worked perfectly to help tone down the noise level without compromising clarity of sound. They stayed in well and were comfortable, but they also come with a variety of sizes for the ear piece to fit individual needs. I LOVE these ear plugs! They come with different size silicone plugs that you can change - these were perfect for my small ears. Most ear plugs hurt because they're too big, but these were super comfortable and easy to put in and remove. I wore these to a bar with a live band. Usually when I go to shows, I'm uncomfortable with the volume and my ears are ringing by the end of the night. These were amazing! I needed ear plugs for a concert and got these on a recommendation. Be aware that they do not work as noise cancelation! These are designed for concerts! First thing I noticed when trying them out at home is that they are not like normal ear plugs. In normal situations, it kind of amplfys sound. It thought my mother was shouting at me, but my brother confirmed she spoke in a normal voice. I decided to just have trust and I'm glad I did. They were amazing for the concert! They brought the volume down to a comfortable level without any distortion or muffling. They do what they were designed to do and they do it well. (I think the marketing department stopped listening at "ear plugs" though.) The loop also helped during intermission. When i wanted to remove one and talk with my friend, I could loop a hairtie through and secure it to my wrist. It kept things quick and easy without having to dig for the case. At a certain point in the night they got a little uncomfortable, but that only lasted about fifteen to twenty minutes before I stopped feeling them at all. I finished the show feeling like there was nothing in my ears. It was magic! ... show more

I don’t write a lot of reviews but I think it’s tough to pick items like HF earplugs, so I hope this is helpful to others. I wore these for a concert in a small venue with some really loud sound and thumping bass and kick drums. I’ve tried about three other pairs of high fidelity earplugs in the past and these were easily the best. I think it started with the fit. I have bigger ear holes, but even when buying the larger sizes in other earplugs, I was always having to adjust them. I was a bit skeptical that these did not have flanged tips like most of them out there. The tips look like the most basic of the classic headphone tips, but they came in four different sizes, and the largest formed a good seal in my ear without being uncomfortable. The medium felt good, but when I tested them, it was clear some sound was coming in around the sides, because the difference with the large tips was very significant. I found that the loops stayed put in my ears and were pretty comfy/non-distracting. The quality was not quite true sound, yet an improvement over the previous plugs I’ve tried. The music did not sound THAT much different. Oddly, the significant moderation of the kick drum and bass, amplified the feeling of thumping in my body but I adjusted to that. The vocals did not sound much different, but the mids, like guitar and some digital tones, like keyboards and sequencers, were a bit muted. Overall, the sound didn’t get muffled as much as other earplugs, even the HF one’s I’ve tried before, yet it felt like the mids were turned down. I was impressed with how much the crowd noise was turned down! Whenever I slipped the loops out, I didn’t notice that anything that felt a bit muffled sounded any different, so that had more to do with the acoustics, but I did notice how loud the crowd was. Ultimately, I found wearing these at the show to be a pleasant experience. I think the look of these are interesting. Much better than ones that stick out of your ear with a pull tab. Clear or flesh colored might be nice, but again, i prefer the loop to the tab. It looks and feels better. I knocked a star for a reason that’s been stated in other reviews. The case doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence. It’s cheaper than the cool aluminum keychain, twist cap one’s you typically get. It’s plastic, with a plastic snap, and a thin jelly loop for attaching to a keychain or anything. It feels as if that loop could break easy AND that they case could open. I think it’s also possible, with the build of the case, to pop it open and have the ear plugs go flying, so be careful! Overall, though, I’m really happy with these. It’s hard to imagine using anything else. If they upgraded the case, these would easily be my favorite. ... show more

I wore these for 8+ hours at a festival and could barely tell they were there. The sound was still super clear and they didn't affect the quality of the music like foam ear plugs do. So incredibly comfortable and really cute. Didn't fit in my ears the way they did in the pictures (see review pic) but still such a cute color and fit so well. The case is super cute as well, really shiny and fun! I'll likely get the Engage pair for wearing at work or at the grocery store where I can get easily overstimulated by sounds. ... show more

The ear plugs work very well. I use them when in room with very very loud singing and music. I can hear the words of each song, the music is just toned down. No issues hearing people around me talking but not whispering. I got the gold ones and they look very nice. I did not change the little plastic ear plug but wear them as they came in box. I did have trouble placing them back in the tiny case at first but then figured out how to place them in their tiny groove. Otherwise, the case will not close. They are also very lightweight, easy to place in my ear but might get misplaced if I just holding them. I also can’t read the instruction paper. Need a magnifying glass! So other than placing the ear plugs correctly in box and unable to read instruction sheet, they work very well. ... show more

I also use them at work sometimes too when the office gets a little too loud and I need to focus on something.
