Both I and my wife have a challenge with wax and dead skin buildup in our ear canals. Thus this was an obvious choice; we anxiously awaited putting it to the test. It does just what it's supposed to - gets the wax, whether crumbly or mushy, or the eczema-caused dead skin and wax chunk out of your (well, my/her) ears. For example, she felt dizzy last night. This morning she thought: Hmmm. Wax? Sure enough, a chunk was retrieved, and her dizziness went away. For myself, I wear hearing aids with ear molds. No, that's not a growth - it's custom-made shapes which match the inside of my ear. On the end closest to my eardrum is the place the amplified sound comes out. It doesn't come out well if there's wax in it. Plus, in my case, my left ear has eczema - which produces dead skin, which mixes with the natural wax. That, too, can clog up the works, including covering my ear drum. And, in the case of the wax guard at the end of my mold, it's really small, so if wax gets in it, there's a part which must be replaced. The first is sometimes critical (unless you stick your fingers in your ears you probably can't imagine what it's like), and the second is a nuisance, given that it CAN be done. This kit to the rescue. Since I started using it, I've not replaced my wax guard (that part which gets clogged). And my wife, should she find herself wobbly, recognizing the symptom, reaches for the kit. Easy to clean, and a safe place to store them. We like it. ... show more

I got really tired of constantly buying those plastic ear cleaner thingys. These are easy to use and will last a long time! They are easy to clean as well. I'm not sure what exactly all the tools are used for, though, but, we like the ones we use.

These tools worked wonders. Definitely looking to get a more in depth ear cleaning at the ENT office however, this purchase tied me over until I get back from my vacation trip.
