Considering that the freshly baked toast is hot, the toasted bread will slide down to the tray and you can bake another set of bread while waiting the toast to cool down a bit .How to use 1．Plug toaster into electrical outlet. 2．Place a maximum of two slices of bread or both halves of a bagel into toaster. 3．Set browning control knob to desired setting. 4．When finish using the toaster, unplug cord from electrical outlet. If food is lodged in toaster 1.Unplug toaster from electrical outlet. 2.Wait for toaster to cool before touching. 3.Turn toaster upside down and shake to dislodge. Tips: BAGEL: Bagel setting only toasts the outside of a bagel or hamburger bun,but In the normal working state, press the bagel key, the machine plate will stop heating and baking. CANCEL:You can cancel the baking process at any time, just press the bottom. Everything gets stuck and we have to unplug it and dig it out with a fork. Of course it starts doing it right as the 30 day return window closes so now we are stuck with a non functioning toaster 😡

I wanted a toaster with a wide slot because while I only toast one piece of bread at a time, I usually buy artisan bread and it never fit into the single slot of my old toaster. I'd have to toast one half and then flip it over to toast the second half. This toaster toasts the wide slices without any problems. It is large - reminds me of a boom box - but I think it's attactive. I thought the concept of the toast sliding out onto a tray was interesting and innovative. In my old toaster I often had to use wooden tongs to fish the toast out if it was narrow and occasionally my toaster would eject the toast so forcefully, it would end up on the floor, This feature works well, although the tray, when extended does take up even more room. What is not working as well is the evenness of the toasting. The edges of the bread get darker than the center and one side seems to get darker than the other. It is difficult to push down the lever, but you don't have to push it down the entire height of the toaster. Also, a few seconds after the toast comes out the inside rack returns to it's starting position and makes a loud noise. Not a terrible thing, but annoying. Still, it's fun to see the toast sailing out onto the tray and I have not had any problem with it ending up on the counter or floor. I have not tried the bagle or gluten options. So far, I like this toaster but I don't know if over time I will learn to love it or hate it! And it seems really silly to be so picky about something that certainly does the job well enough. ... show more

This toaster did not last as the lever to drop down the toast and start browning is flimsy and broke after 6 uses. The concept of slide through toasting is probably better left to the commercial industrial sized toasters.

Use this for my bagels every morning only thing I don’t like about it is that it’s a little difficult pushing down the handle to start it. Other than that it works as it should and does take up too much counter space.
