I've been wanting a table in my music room and have been pretty happy with this overall. The table itself is pretty unique. The legs are installed at an angle and the whole thing sits on slanted feet. You'll want to make sure that you follow the directions closely so that everything is level once assembled. Overall, it was pretty easy to put together and the table sits sturdy with no noticeable wobbling. There were a few small quality issues like a screw hole that didn't line up (I had to leave that bolt out altogether) and some knicks in the laminate. However, it’s a great size for a music room. It’s larger/shorter than a side table, but taller than a coffee table. The closest thing I can compare it to is a typical child sized play table. In any case, it works well for what I was needing! This was spoiled by only one thing – a small dent in the surface which I have tried to capture in the first photo. For this reason ONLY I have rated this four stars. The width of the dent is slightly smaller than the nail on my pinkie. I guess this happened in transit. There is an old carpenter’s trick for getting rid of flaws like this, which I will try later, but that would be reviewing my work, not the condition of the table as delivered. Just handling the parts impresses you with quality. The polish and finish of the legs is not perfect at all points, but is sensuous to the touch, as is the surface of the table. How nice for once to be handling furniture which is made of real wood, not something which has been done to it after turning it into sawdust first. The difference in quality is immediately apparent. Construction could not be simpler. The instructions are very limited, but you don’t really need any, other than to say which way round the washers go. Though a hex wrench is provided, you are very much better off with a quarter drive ratchet with a hex key fitting; it saves a lot of time. But I say that about almost every piece of furniture I construct. Although this is nominally self assembly, because you have to screw on the legs, this is more like a mid-20th century table from the days when you bought all furniture in finished condition, except for two things; the finish is a lot better, and so are the fittings that join it. The last time I was handling furniture made of real wood, it was made with plain bolts and square nuts. The appearance of this table is timeless, but it combines the best of modern precision manufacture with the best of an old fashioned approach to materials. If you want the cheapest coffee table you can get, there are many that are much cheaper. If you want real wood and to own something you can look at with pride, this is for you. ... show more

This table was easy to put together it took me about 10 mins to assemble, the directions and pictures were very clear. The table is not that heavy. I do like the finish of the table and I also like the little floor stoppers that came with the table. I got this for my new apartment and it looks really good puts a place together the material is really nice. The wood is sturdy It does not scratch easy. I would also say that you might want to use coasters on here this is really nice wood can easily be water damaged.

This coffee table is several inches taller than an average coffee table. We like the extra height for when we are sitting on the couch, working on projects in the evenings. This is...not really a coffee table. Standard height for a coffee table is ~18 inches, but this is 23 inches. That's my fault for not paying attention, but I have never seen one this tall. Additionally, the build quality is horrendous. There is a visible gap from one of the finger joints, and one of the seams between boards is also split. The lamination is also bubbled up in many spots (I was not able to get a good picture to capture this problem). We ended up using as our kids craft table. Do not buy. ... show more

This is made of solid wood and all parts feel solid and strudy. The table was easy to put together, almost an old-fashioned sense of quality and simplicity, with a high quality finish and high quality material choices. Impressive piece of furniture!

This coffee table came together very easily and quickly. It is sturdy and the parts are well-made. However, the dimensions as a coffee table is very strange. It's noticeably taller and wider than your average coffee table. It looks a bit like a dining table for little kids. However, once we set it in place we decided it was the perfect dimensions if we ever want to eat there or do any kind of activities that required a table.
