I suppose you usually get what you pay for. We chose these based on the reviews & size to replace 2 wing-back armchairs that were attractive & comfortable, but we wanted, especially at the end of the day, to be able to recline. Ater a month using them, I regret the choice. First, they're not very comfortable to sit in -overstuffed to the point that they don't feel like they leave room to add a person! But we felt surely they'd soften up over time. (Not yet.) They were, and are, acceptably easy to recline without a lever. But the trouble is, they are getting increasingly difficult to KEEP in that position. In the 1st position they stay, so long as you don't do anything radical, like lift your head. Fully reclined they stay that way only so long as you keep pressure on the armrests. What's the point? I wish I had my old chairs back; should have just bought a pair of footstools & saved a lot of money. ... show more

I ordered this chair for my son and his wife’s anniversary. It was super easy to assemble. The back slides right on and you just screw the legs on. The fabric is super soft velour like. If you are a tall person (over 5’8”) this is not the chair for you. It’s made for someone of a a shorter stature which they are. After a month of having it my son said it’s great and very comfortable for his achey back after a day of work. ... show more

So far it’s a pretty good recliner. I was a little unsure at first since it seemed kind of like a chair that would be more tailored for the elderly (I’m in my 20’s) but after using it for about a week I think this chair would be suitable for most anyone. I currently have it in my living room and I really like using it as a reading chair. Though I think this chair is really nice I don’t know if I would recommend it to everyone as there are a few things to consider. First, it’s not an oversized recliner so don’t expect it to be super large or anything. It fits me just fine with decent extra room (I’m 5’11 and 170lbs) but I would assume if you were a larger individual it would not be as comfortable. Personally I liked that it wasn’t too large since I live in an apartment so space is a bit limited. Second, this recliner is on the firmer side. Its not like its hard or uncomfortable but it’s not a recliner that you will sink into. This was perfect for my needs since I dislike overly cushioned chairs especially when trying to read or answer emails but it is something you should consider. Third, this recliner has power lift and reclining. This is actually a pretty cool feature since it takes little to no effort to go from reclining to lift. On top of that it actually lifts pretty high up so it will put you on your feet if you need it to (see pictures).The downside is that the power function does move pretty slow. I think this is more of a safety feature so you don’t hurt yourself or others (would be a bummer to crush the cat) but if can be annoying at times . For example if you are sitting in the chair and somebody rings the doorbell it’ll take a few seconds to sit up. Overall I think this is a really nice chair. Its of pretty good quality, looks nice and feels comfortable to sit in. I didn’t nessiasarly need the power capabilities but they are very convenient to have especially when I’m feeling pretty lazy. ... show more

I'm a 5'1" 110# middle aged woman with a 'middle aged spread' and have a couple inches space on either side of the seat. In the sitting position my feet touch the floor but not quite flat and my heals hang over the edge of the foot rest when extended. My head rests at the top of the head reset but not over. Maybe I just have long legs 🤷♀️ Overall the chair is super comfy and the cup holders are very handy for more than cups. I live in a 300sf studio apartment and was concerned it would take up a lot of space but it's small enough to leave plenty of room. The chair is pretty petite. If you're very much over 5' this chair may be too small for you. ... show more

The recliner chair comes in two pieces. The assembly process was easy, but I recommend having a friend help you unpack and assemble the item. When I first sat down in the chair I was very impressed. It felt sturdy and firm. I like a firm chair cushion, one that does not sink in too much. This recliner chair offers a perfect match of firm and soft. When you recline the chair to lie back, your body knows something special is happening. The automatic feature puts your body into perfect comfort without even having to move. The chair does all the work for you at the push of a button. When you push the “up button” the chair lifts you forward enough that you could slide right out. This is a perfect position for those individuals needing assistance from sit to stand. I would note it takes 26 seconds from the neutral position all the way to the stand position. In order to recline the chair and lay back, you need to engage the “down button.” The chair takes you almost to a vertical position which is great for sleeping. It takes about 15 seconds from the neutral position all the way back to the reclining position. I would highly recommend this recliner and give it a 5 out of 5 star rating. * Additional Features An additional feature is that the chair is equipped on a caster wheel roller. This makes moving the chair or repositioning it very easy especially if your chair is located on a hard floored surface. This is great if my wife is watching a movie and I am vacuuming. I can easily roll her chair around without her even getting up. The remote control sits nicely in a pouch located on the right hand of the chair. The chair is also equipped with two beverage holders so you have easy access to your favorite drinks with either hand. :) ... show more
