I pulled the bulky pedestal table and its stand off my dinette area and set this table in its place. If there were ever more than 2 people, I would need to put the pedestal table back up. And for those rare occasions when I have an overnight guest sleeping on that bed, I need the pedestal table as part of that platform. However, it's really nice to have a smaller table so that I can easily scoot in around it to open the blinds, etc. It feels (and is) roomier, less crowded. It's sturdy. Since my dinette is elevated, it's also nice to have a table that can be lowered to a reasonable height and serve as an additional counter top for kitchen work. This table would be perfect it could raised just 2 inches higher. Max height is 28 inches, 30 would be perfect but it will do. If you are 6'0 or taller the table may be a bit on the small side but if the purpose is to have a casual multi purpose table it will fulfill that need. I think the price is a bit high but it seems furniture items are expensive! ... show more

The table works, the top is very dumpy so you have to place something underneath it to write, which is a pain. But it moves up and down easily. This is just what I was looking for. A portable workspace/desk that can go anywhere. It's really well made, sturdy and I love the adjustment because it's so easy. No fuss table I use it in my Living room in my recliner for my computer. I take it on our RV for a work desk and TV table or outdoor table. It' so useful for so many things.
