My fault for not fully reading the title of the item, but it has light bulbs in the picture...there are no bulbs with these, please don't put pictures with bulbs in them. It's very miss-leading.

Removed our current light and installed this one in 15min. There's only two screws and three wire nuts. It's not rocket science. Just make sure you turn off the breaker and check with a multimeter and this is a really easy home repair. The unit itself is solidly built from metal. The light sockets have a silicone insert/washer to keep out water. This is a upgrade over the typical cardboard that most "cheap" units include. The base of the unit has a foam o-ring that waterproofs the base of the unit to the electrical box it's mounted to. I would definitely buy again. ... show more

I saw a very negative review for the reliability of this product but I still purchased three, simply because this configuration was exactly what I was looking for and the price was good. I was doing work on my house and was buying these to replace three original units, which were now almost forty years old, These were still working fine except that their age was showing a little, It was a big surprise, however, when I discovered that the new replacement units were identical to the old ones. They were from the same manufacturer and were identical in every detail, even down to the labels on them. Based on this evidence I feel comfortable in attesting to the reliability of this product. Additionally, it seems apparent that the reliability issue experienced by the reviewer was likely an installation issue. I also noted that someone answered a question about sealing by saying these units are not well sealed. In reality, they are well sealed by a supplied mounting gasket and an additional plastic gasket around the bulb neck. This neck gasket is almost transparent so it is easy to miss. It also will come out when replacing the bulb and can be lost. Sealing, however, is preserved with just a little care. ... show more

These are the worst "outdoor" fixtures I ever seen. They are really INDOOR fixtures because they use a crossbar and threaded nipple to mount. The result is that they WILL NOT WEATHERSEAL on any surface mount boxes. They marginally seal on subsurface circular boxes depending on how smooth your siding is. The supplied foam seal is exactly the diameter of the thin body bell and must be very carefully positioned during installation to prevent leaks. Per my previous one star rating, I attempted install of this item one month after purchasing. After installing, the light would flicker on and off in the evening. I experienced the same issue and as par for the course, Amazon jumped in and provided overnight shipping with a replacement. I completed the install with the replacement and everything is working great. I have this eave mounted and using two Hyperikon BR30 LED Bulb, 9W (75W equivalent), 2700K (Warm Glow), Wide Flood Light Bulb, 120° Beam Angle, Medium Base (E26), Dimmable, UL-Listed and Energy Star-Qualified. Few items to consider: -A few other reviewers experienced the same issue I did upon initial install, where the light turns on and off every ten seconds or so in the evening. -A bad photocell seems to be the culprit. Not sure if there was a bad batch, but like the other posters, once a replacement was received, it fixed it. -This is meant to mount to a junction box, however, the light I replaced mounted ease under the gutter, so I picked up a few wood screws to mount the brace which worked without issue. -While I tried nearly every configuration with the bad unit to no avail, the new one worked without issue after install. However, after attempting to re-position, the light turned off intermittently slower than the bad model. Once I moved back to working position, no issue. -Eave mounting works, just remember to keep the lights shining down and be cognizant of reflective sources (e.g. gutters) that could interfere with the sensor. My final working configuration has the sensor pointed down (14ft high) with both lights in the opposite direction. I contemplated 4 stars given a few known issues and the having to reinstall, but for the price and ease of install, this deserves 5 stars. Amazon also deserves 5 stars for their rock star customer service. Not sure why anyone would shop elsewhere in this day and age. ... show more

PROs + All metal construction. + The two sockets are separately wired, so if you really want, you can wire them to separate circuits. Most people will just bind them together, though. + Nothing to go bad or misbehave, like sensors. Should outlast me. + Excellent pricing. There are no CONs. It's just a simple light fixture with no brains. What more could you possibly want!? Different colors? I've had much bad luck with motion-sensing LED light fixtures for years, but recently discovered light bulbs with built-in photocell and motion sensor (doppler radar, not PIR). I bought these simple light fixtures to replace LED fixtures with built-in motion sensors that never worked properly for me. Now that I'm using bulbs with the smarts in them, if they go bad, I just need to replace the bulbs, not the fixtures. ... show more
