Colors are good - more light & bright then what we had. California King is what we needed for our king, it covers more on the sides and the length. Soft cotton finish. I really like the generous length of this cover. I have an adjustable Serta matteress/electric movable base which comes with 2 different leg height options. We like the higher legs on the base (it allows for under the bed storage). So this longer length spread/quilt allows me to elimate the need for a dust ruffle (which is like so yesterday!) I absolutely love this comforter. It is soft and pretty. I got the California king because my mattress is on a 4 inch boxspring so I wanted it to cover that. It fits perfectly and very nicely made. I would definitely recommend this purchase.
