Prior to this purchase, we did some shopping around in store for coffee tables. Nothing really stood out, so I suggested to try Amazon. I'm so glad I did! This table is beautiful!! It's solid wood, pine I think, not that poorly made, I overpriced pressed board. My husband had this assembled in about 15-20 minutes. This came packaged neat and tight, no knicks or dents. We couldn't find anything below $150 in store, and their tables were basically junk. I would say this table looks and feels like a $200 table, and it was half that price! When unpacking the item, I noticed various scratches and scars on various pieces of the wood, including one very obvious on the table top. Also the pieces that come assembled are not tight in fit. Beware that this appears to be common from other reviews. Assembly was okay, however I would grab an extra set of hands for assembly. I assembled this one by myself, and found I could have benefited from another set of hands a time or two. Once assembled the product is extremely sturdy and overall good in appearance if one overlooks the scratches and scars. we bought this table a little over a year ago. it’s an aesthetically pleasing table but made of cheap material. the top coat is shiny and shows every mark. the top of the table also scratched easily which showed no matter how polished it was.

This table was a pain in the A$$ it came damaged as if someone marked it with a sharpie I could not remove it because I guess the marks were under the lacquer. The wooden pegs are not snug I recommend glue. They say you have 30 days from time of purchase to return for a damaged part but by the time you fill in all the paperwork and then get the part then take apart the table not worth it to me I'll live with the sharpie marks. Also it had a few chips on the bottom table I don't blame shipping because the box was in good condition. All in all ok for a guest room. What can I expect for a hundred bucks. ... show more

Table looks great, arrived with no damage. However, I must second the reviewer who complained about the holes: they are not all pre-drilled. You have to make the holes for some of the screws yourself. Also, the dowel pegs are very loose, so if you don't want them falling out all the time as you assemble, use some glue. The instructions could be broken down better, with a least one other closeup, of the screws that go through the side rails into the corners -- don't miss those. We are waiting for two bookcases from the same collection and plan on checking for holes before we get started. ... show more

I've always wanted one of these. I put it under the window sill. I have bird feeders right outside the windows and my cats just sit there and stare at them all day. Plus there's plenty of room for storing photo albums excetera on the lower Shelf. The Price is Right and it's very nice table

1st table corners smashed, 2nd table also arrived with bottom shelf split were wood was glued together along with staining issues. table in picture looks great but when it arrives for assembly its worth nothing. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We purchased this for our new house. It stays in our living room. We have 2 young kids and they do rough-house around it (and walk across it when I've turned my back) and it is still in great shape.
