Description

Perfect Your Build with True 4.0 Performance Loque Ghost S1 Cases sold separately Sliger Cases sold separately Sliger Cases sold separately Easy troubleshooting steps to resolve issues: Step 1: Update BIOS on both Motherboard and GPU Update to the newest firmware / BIOS / software for the motherboard and GPU. The newest update can be obtained from the manufacturer's website. Step 2: Set BIOS to optimal default Overclocking is the main reason for the system to become unstable in Gen 4 setting. Reset BIOS to optimal default may resolve the issue and allow the system to run under Gen 4 without issue. Step 3: Try to boot without the riser cable Make sure the system can boot properly without the riser cable. Step 4: Clean the connector contacts on the riser cable and GPU Cleaning the connector contact (Gold Fingers) on both GPU and riser cable with rubbing alcohol to remove possible particle build-up. Step 5: Ensure the cable is fully and securely inserted into the socket Please make sure the male connector (Gold Fingers) is fully inserted into the motherboard’s PCIe socket. Our riser has a very short pin designed to provide better insertion loss. The pins may not be in full contact with the PCIe socket pins resulting in signal lanes drop from x16 to x8, or worse at x4 speed. Make sure you choose the right length cables. Too long or too short may both result in performance loss. Step 6: Try a different PCI-e slot (Always choose the PCIe slot closest to the CPU) If the motherboard has multiple Gen 4 PCIe slots, try to install the cable on a different slot. Step 7: I have done all of the above and I’m still having trouble with the riser cable PCI-E specifications do not regulate the use of a riser cable. As a result, Gen 4 motherboards are designed to connect the GPU directly. Hence leave a limited headroom for the use of a riser cable, and the use of a riser cable may fail when the insertion loss is over the limits due to poor components used in motherboards. Not all motherboards and GPUs are manufactured to the same quality, some have higher headroom than the other. In these rare cases, the easiest ways to resolve the problem are: Exchange another riser cable to try. (If shorter length works, always choose a shorter length) Exchange another motherboard of the same brand. Exchange motherboard for a different brand. (99% of the customers have completely resolved the issue at this point) If none of these works, please get in touch with us directly and provide us with your system information (model/make of MB, CPU, GPU, PC case). We are happy to provide a solution. Please do not allow cable to directly touch the backplate of GPU which may generate temperatures higher than the riser cables' maximum operating temperature of 75 degrees celsius. If direct contact is unavoidable, applying thermal tape is strongly recommended Premium Straight Riser Cable LINKUP Ultra PCIE 4.0 Verified Extreme Right Angle 3.0 Riser Cables SLI Bridge LINKUP Custom MOD PSU Extension Cables PCIE 4.0 Verified x PCIE 4.0 Verified x x PSU Cable Extension Cable Angle Straight Straight, Right, Left or Reverse Angles Right Angle 90 Degrees x x Maximum Cable Length Up to 200cm Up to 50cm Up to 400cm in PCIe 3.0 Configuration Up to 60cm 30cm and 50cm

  • DO NOT BUY IT & poor customer service
I made a purchase at the beginning of April for ITX [18cm], which received an original version. And it displays weird. However, after I googled, I've heard the v7 version will improve a lot and it starts shipping out in April. Therefore, I back ordered the ITX [18cm]- one, waited two week for the batch. And I thought it had to be the newest version. Sadly, it comes in v6, and parts were made in 11/2020. I'll wait for a v7 version. and pack wasn't sealed, tape was folded. dont know if it was a returned or swapped. I'm gonna return this. previous review: They ignored my questions twice and it seems like with the riser cable attached, color looks more greenish like neon green. nothing changed with on or off. ... show more

  • Doesn't work.
Well I bought this thinking I would get a GPU before the return date and guess what my GPU arrived today and I now cannot return this useless cable that doesn't work. Two days before this review... TWO DAYS! I could of returned this non working cable. How does it not work? idk As per say it should be backwards compatible and forward for future sense. Yes, I am trying to use this cable on PCIE3.0 now if LinkUp sold a PCIE3.0 in ITX I wouldn't had gotten this. I wouldn't have wasted money on PCIE4.0 cable riser because we all know it's pretty new and has it's quirks but no.... Link UP only carries ITX format PCIE cable for 4.0... Now if I ever pick up a RTX 30XX series.. and this cable comes in clutch if it's not DOA I'll comeback a do a 5 star review but for now it is what is because I can't get my money back and this cable is useless AF. ... show more

  • Finicky
Capacity: *Ultra PCIE 4.0 Dual Reverse Sockets Color: ITX [18cm]
Even though it states gen 4 I still had to change it to gen 3 in the bios to make it work. At first it was fine but after first shut down it took me to the bios stating VGA adapter failure, I just get to a constant loop into bios when I try to set it to gen 4. I tried reseating the riser cable multiple times and nothing. Not sure if it is with just my unit or what. Cable works in gen 3, but finicky on gen 4, even though I bought and have the gen 4 version. • Make sure you order and/or receive the CORRECT model
Purchased this model from Amazon last week, was sent the wrong model. Got the new correct one today, works as specified, thankfully! Especially since NZXT has not sent the new PCIe cable yet (as of 19MAR21) to replace the "Firestarter" previous model. Seriously, avoid using it if you can, or use plastic zip ties (not twist ties) to keep the GPU held to the NZXT H1's packed-in PCIe riser cable. That said, make sure to check: (1) That the PCIe riser cable is orientated properly. LINKUP has a diagram on their website which shows the attached picture and how to "feed" the cable through the NZXT H1 chassis. It is a somewhat tight bend, but I got it to connect properly. If there is a 25-27cm model eventually released, that might work with less concern of mistakenly "crimping" the cable better. (2) Your BIOS settings for PCIe are set to 4.0 instead of AUTO or 3.0! And update your BIOS from the manufacturer's website PRIOR to installing the new cable! Save yourself from some DRAM, Blue Screen, or complete motherboard errors! :) ... show more

  • Worked flawlessly
Capacity: *Ultra PCIE 4.0 Dual Reverse Sockets Color: ITX [18cm]-White
Ordered to replace a pcie gen 3 riser cable that my itx case came with. Simply needed a gen 4, this one was only 10mm larger so it would work just fine. Snapped right in and I was able to screw it down right where the old one was. All I can say is how relieved I was that I didn't have to take apart the entire build just to put my video card in to make a change to the bios. Stupid me for not testing the build before craming in way too many expensive parts in such a tiny case but here we are, and 80 bucks later my daughters computer works. Just buy it already. Used on an Asus B550-i and with an AMD 6800xt. ... show more

  • Works like it wasn't there
The whole point of this riser cable is for it to function as if you were using NO riser cable at all - and it does that. I am able to boot with default BIOS settings with PCIe set to auto or gen 4 and SAM works on my Radeon 6800. No performance loss vs straight into the board. I was worried after reading some reviews where they said they lost performance or wouldn't boot from auto but this was not the case with mine. ... show more

  • It works
Capacity: *Ultra PCIE 4.0 Dual Reverse Sockets Color: ITX [18cm]
Works great for gen4 cards. Originally had issues with my mobo and 3080 as the Strix B550-I has “auto” pcie enabled and recognized a 3070 as gen4 n switched to that but the pcie riser was only gen3 and I never got a signal. But I set it back to “auto” and then swapped out the riser and it booted no problems. Only thing I’d change is make the red rubber guard black so it’s neutral for all cases that have tempered glass or mesh see through. I tried pulling it off but didn’t come off easily. ... show more

  • Perfect for nzxt H1
Capacity: *Ultra PCIE 4.0 Reverse GPU Socket Color: ITX [23cm]
This was an easy install. It works. FYI this does not install to the NZXT H1 brackets, it’s not meant for that. It goes on top of it. I took some cutting pliers and just took the mounting brackets off for better fitting. This cable works great. A bit expensive but worth it.
