The media could not be loaded. Update: I’m lowering the rating to one star because the tube that connects the lamp to the base has loosened up (unscrewed from the fixture in the base?) and has become unstable. The “return and product support windows have closed” and there’s no way for me to try to fix it myself without tearing off the glued-on covering on the bottom of the base. I definitely won’t be buying another one of these, and would recommend to others that they buy something else. It’s cheap because it’s kind of cheap. The base on mine is uneven, so the lamp wobbles a little bit but it, ya know, lights up and stuff so that’s not a deal breaker. I like the outlet and pull chain too. ... show more

Purchased these for our master bedroom. Actually really surprised at how sturdy they are for the price! Enjoying the plug spot on the lamp base! Used a CFL 14W (I believe it’s a 60W equivalent). It provides subtle, indirect light which is great for reading. I get migraines if a room is too bright so these have been fantastic. Just a side note, when the light is off, the shade is an obvious and pretty gray. When the light is on, the shade takes on a more “greige” tone. ... show more

This lamp comes compactly packaged so as not to damage the shade. Its metal pieces are wrapped in plastic sleeves to prevent scratches. I don’t even own a screwdriver and I assembled this lamp in a under a minute. I bought one for a bedside lamp. I chose the light gray shade. It takes a 60 watt regular bulb, which I happened to already have. It works with a simple attractive chain to turn on and off the light, and the base does have a two-prong power outlet which accommodates my power plug for my iPhone. I have a new house and needed more lights than I did in my old apartment. Once I got one of these table lamps, and found it so easy to put together (no handyman necessary), and the price so reasonable, I began thinking of other locations in the house that could use more light. I ordered one more with same shade color. Everything was right about this one too. So, I ordered another one! Again, everything was good, no damage to the shade, easy assembly. I usually have my amazon orders sent to a P. O. Box which I maintain specifically for getting packages, to avoid porch pirates. This lamp could not be delivered to the PO, it had to come to my home address. Now that amazon prime lets you select the day of the week you want the delivery, I can work it into my schedule and know it’s coming. So far every delivery that has required home address for delivery has arrived exactly as I indicated in the order. I am so pleased with this lamp— so better than buying an unknown product at Home Depot or Lowe’s. I am looking for another place in the house.... I have only ordered the light gray shade. It is tasteful and doesn’t make you look at it, even in the living room. One thing: if you need brightness greater than a 60 watt bulb, you should choose a different lamp. ... show more

Very nice quality. Convenient outlet for the phone too. Love the pullstring. Light doesn’t move when pulling the cord, which is nice. For those saying the shade doesn’t go high enough to cover the light bulb- it’s very apparent that they simply installed the lampshade upside down. It’s perfectly cylindrical so I can see it being an easy mistake to make- however it is MUCH shorter in overall appearance when the shade is upside down. I was concerned the gray color shade would block too much light, however that is not the case at all. I used the same bulbs as I had in the lamps which these replaced so it was an easy side by side comparison. These were as bright as the older cream colored shades on the old lights, which I like that brightness. ... show more

We got new furniture and wanted a new end table and table lamp to add to the room. I absolutely LOVE this lamp! The charging port is actually really reliable and fast. The shade is a little "cheap" and fragile, but it looks great for us and it came well packaged. Glad I found something so fitting for our living room. It is hard to know how to rate this lamp because while it is good value for the price, a snap to assemble, and works fine, it is really small and light weight. You have heard the phrase "knee high by the Fourth of July", well this lamp is still in June. I am an average sized person and the top of the shade does not come up to my knee. It also is some kind of lightweight metal and very easy to knock over. So it is good for what it is, but it isn't much. Depending on your use, it could certainly do the job. It is perfect for me because I was looking for a small lamp to use in emergencies and plug into our apartments emergency socket that is fed by a generator. This fits the bill because I would use it very seldom, and it is better than a flashlight. . For everyday use, I would want something more substantial. You can charge your phone with it, but you have to plug an adapter into the charging outlet, and then a USB cord into the adapter and the phone. The directions say "lamp must be plugged in for the outlet to be" but it ends there and you don't know what it is trying to say. What will the outlet be? I don't think the light must be turned on for the charger to work, but that is somewhat unclear. The lamp cord must certainly be plugged in to a working socket for the charger to work, but maybe they were trying to tell us more and just forgot to finish the sentence. ... show more

I really like this lamp so far and it fits in perfectly with the decor of my bedroom. I was surprised of both it’s weight and how sturdily it’s constructed. My only complaint is with the two prong outlet in the base; on occasion it’ll stop powering whatever I happen to have plugged into it. As I said this is only an occasional issue and I’m willing to live with it. ... show more
