  • An Easy to Use Carrier that is Comfortable for Adult and Child
I love this baby carrier when I first bought this in March of 2019, I mainly used it for trips to Walmart and hikes with my friend now that he can sit up on his own in the basket seat I just use it for the hikes or when we’re going places where the stroller is inconvenient. I was getting so frustrated with having to deal with the bulky car seat taking up a ton of space in my cart and my son wasn’t to the point where he could sit upright in the seat so I started looking into baby carriers. I had put the idea off for a while originally because as a preemie my son was too small for the majority of carriers that I had been considering but when he finally hit the recommended weight I was all in. Pros: Comfortable This carrier is very comfortable to wear, the straps don’t dig into your shoulders or your hips and thanks to the lumbar support the weight of your baby doesn’t put strain on your back. While my son isn’t old enough to tell me verbally whether he finds it comfortable or not he never cries or throws a fit when I put him in it and has fallen asleep while in it on several occasions and also thrown a fit when I’ve taken him out of it so to me that implies that he is comfortable and happy with this carrier as well. It also keeps the weight very well balanced, on the occasions where I had to squat down to get something off of a lower shelf I never felt like I was being dragged forward by the weight because he was pretty snuggly against me. Lumbar Support As I mentioned above this carrier has lumbar support which helps keep your back from aching while walking around for extended periods of time with an infant or child strapped to you. Anything that helps keep my back from hurting is a big plus in my book. Versatile and Easy to Use This carrier is east to use you simply buckle it around your waist pick up your child and place them against your chest and then while holding your child securely against you with one hand you put your other arm through the shoulder strap, switch hands and do the same with the other shoulder strap and then reach back and buckle the two shoulder straps together. No infant insert is required for this carrier and it is rated for 7-45lbs however personally when my son was smaller I tended to roll up a receiving blanket and place it under his butt to raise him up a little so he could see out a bit but that was just a personal preference. It's also easy to transition it to the narrow seat for forward facing. You simply place your LÍLLÉbaby on the ground with the outside facing up remove the lumbar support, then unsnap the waistband from the two loops holding it and then withdraw the waist belt from the two loops. Once you have done that flip your carrier over and take those two loops and fold them over each other, you will see a snap that fastens them together and narrows the seat. Flip your carrier back over reattach the lumbar support and you're good to go. If you’re like me you are probably intimidated by the idea of trying to get your little one (who can support their head) into the backpack carrier position but once again it’s very easily accomplished with this carrier. Simply belt the carrier around your waist with the carrier on one side of you. Pick up your little one and place them on your hip (whichever side the carrier is on). Then lift the carrier up to cover your little one’s back and slip the opposite arm into the shoulder strap. After your arm is secure shift your little one and the carrier around until they are behind you and slip your other arm into the shoulder strap and fasten the chest clip. You can loosen the shoulder straps initially if it helps you to get your arms in and then tighten them once you your little one is in place. It’s an All-Weather Carrier There is a flap that can be zipped shut if it’s cold out to help insulate your child against cold weather or unzipped to allow for cooling during hot summer months and the mesh lining makes it very breathable allowing for greater cooling. There’s also a little lightweight hood that you can snap on to help keep the sun off of your baby’s head during the summer. Six Positions There are six different ways that you can wear this carrier depending on the age of your child. From 0-3 months you can carry them facing inward with their feet inside the carrier in a fetal position. You also have the option to carry them inward facing with their legs out. While they are unable to support their head this carrier has a head support that can be used to keep your support your infants head. Once your baby is able to support his or her head you can lower the head support and carry them facing either inward or outward so that they can see the world going by. This carrier is also designed so that you can carry your little one in front of you or on your hip or your back easily and comfortably. Machine Washable If you’re the type of person who likes to go on hikes or spends long hot days at outdoor events, then you know the importance of being able to just throw something in the wash and be done with it. Cons Back Strap/Chest Strap a Bit of a Chore The Back strap/Chest strap that connects the two shoulder straps together can be a bit of a chore to connect while it is behind you when you’re carrying your little one in front of you and I could see this strap causing issues for people who’s shoulders aren’t as flexible. While it is a great safety feature because it keeps the shoulder straps from falling off it can be a chore to connect it. Mesh Interior is a Little Rough The mesh interior while providing breathability that keeps your little one cool during hot days is a little on the rougher side and while I’ve carried my son in it without pants on without complaint an infant with more sensitive skin than him might not be as comfortable without the protection of clothes. Dangling Straps I have a petite frame so I keep the straps on the shortest settings possible and the extra length just dangles down and can get caught on things. It would have been nice if there was a way to fasten the excess length up and out of the way. In Conclusion Overall, I really enjoy using this carrier it’s very easy to use in its various positions and it’s comfortable for me and my son. It seems to be a very well made and sturdy carrier that will hopefully last me for several more years to come and I would definitely purchase it again and I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Lillebaby All Seasons vs. Pognae…
I have tried multiple baby carriers/wraps and like most of them for different reasons. Although it is impossible to avoid body heat while wearing baby, I have been looking for a breathable carrier that might be more comfortable in warm weather. There are a couple of carriers with mesh panels to keep baby cool (Lillebaby Airflow and Ergo Performance, for example) but for the most versatility I wanted one that had a zip-open mesh panel to allow for opening or closing the panel depending on the weather. There are only 2 such carriers (that I know of)… the Pognae and the Lillebaby All Seasons. I could not find any direct comparison of the two when I was deciding which to buy, but since I ended up trying both I thought I should spell out the differences between them for anyone else making the same choice. 1. COST: Pognae costs ~$90-100 (depending on design) vs. ~$140 for the comparable Lillebaby All Seasons. Win: Pognae. 2. MAIN MATERIAL: Both carriers are 100% cotton. The Pognae material is not as soft (feels more like starchy cotton canvas) while the Lillebaby material is softer. The Lillebaby material is a lint magnet though. Win: slight preference to Lillebaby. 3. MESH PANEL: The Pognae mesh panel is made of a nice, soft mesh in a single layer. This allows for great airflow when open, and also allows me to rub my baby’s back through it when he gets fussy. The Lillebaby mesh is a bit rougher and the zip-open panel has a double layer of mesh, which is not quite as breathable as the Pognae. Win: Pognae. 4. HEAD SUPPORT: In the Pognae, my 3.5-month old’s head barely came above the top of the carrier (about 1-2 inches) giving him good head support but not much ability to look around. In the Lillebaby, the top of the carrier comes to the nape of his neck giving just a bit of head support and allowing him to look around easily. Both carriers also come with supplemental head support: the Pognae comes with a head-support panel that is a separate piece that velcros onto the shoulder straps and adds another ~2 inches of head support. There is no way to store it on the carrier when not in use. The Lillebaby has an additional ~4 inches of head support that folds down and snaps in place when not in use. With this panel elevated, it gives great head support. It also has cinching cords on both sides if you want to bring the head support in around baby’s head while sleeping, for example. Win: Lillebaby. 5. SUN HOOD: Both carriers have similar sun hoods which extend from the carrier over the baby’s head and buckle to the shoulder straps. The Pognae has a small pocket that stores/conceals the sun hood when not in use. On the Lillebaby, the sun hood can be rolled up and stored under the flap of the head support when it is folded down. Unfortunately this means the head support must be up in order to use the sun hood; and when the head support is “up” and the sun hood is NOT in use, it is no longer concealed and the roll kind of hangs on the outside of the carrier. On the Lillebaby the sun hood is removable, so if not used often it can be detached and you can avoid having to deal with it. Win: Pognae. 6. SEAT: Both carriers have wide seats that support baby knee-to-knee. The Lillebaby also has a “narrow” seat option for smaller babies. In the Pognae, my 3.5-month old seemed comfortable enough, but his legs were definitely spread very widely. In the Lillebaby, the narrow option is wide enough to keep his knees in the “M” position without him doing the splits, and when he gets a little bigger we can go back to the wide seat. Win: Lillebaby. 7. STORAGE: The Lillebaby has one cargo pocket on the front, which is only accessible if the zip-down flap is closed (i.e. in the “cool-weather” position). The Pognae does not have any cargo pockets. Win: Lillebaby. 8. VERSATILITY: The Lillebaby advertises 6 possible carrying positions (front-carry small baby/larger baby/toddler, outward-facing, hip carry, back carry). It can support a newborn without an extra insert and comes with a little newborn strap for extra support if needed (can be removed if not needed). It has stirrups that can be purchased separately for back-carrying a toddler, if desired. The Pognae does not have outward-facing or hip carry options (which you may or may not want). It can support babies starting at 12 lbs but requires an insert for newborns. Win: Lillebaby. 9. HIP STRAP: Both have similar hip straps with elastic bands for extra buckle security. The Lillebaby comes with a lumbar support pad, which I guess is nice if the strap is across your lower back. Since I carry the hip strap low across my hips for comfort, the lumbar pad doesn't really do anything for me. Still, nice to have. Win: slight preference to Lillebaby. 10. SHOULDER STRAPS: The design of the shoulder straps is similar, but there are a couple of key differences. The Lillebaby straps can detach and be crossed, giving the option for parallel or crossed-strap positions in front-carry positions. I haven’t tried the crossed straps yet but know this is much more comfortable for many people. The Lillebaby straps are also longer, which is the KEY difference between them that ultimately led me to choose the Lillebaby. At 5’9” the Pognae straps were just too short on me. When carrying baby on my front, the straps came up over my shoulders and ended just behind my shoulders, leaving the adjustment buckles just below my armpits and making me roll my shoulders forward to avoid extra pressure on my arms. After carrying it for a while, I just felt a lot of discomfort in my upper back. I had seen conflicting reviews on the size of this carrier from other reviewers, but had given it a shot after reading that some people >6ft tall had worn it successfully. Unfortunately, it did not work for my frame. Win (for my frame): Lillebaby. In the end, I returned the Pognae and ordered the Lillebaby All Seasons. The deciding factor was simply my own comfort wearing the Lillebaby on my tall frame. I could definitely see someone more petite being happier with the Pognae, however, and in the end there are still some features of each that I wish I could combine into the “perfect” carrier. ... show more

  • HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Color: Black Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
This is the best baby carrier I have found. I tried a Moby and an Infantino and they both cause my back to ache. I couldn't move for a whole evening with one of them and then decided to purchase this one. It is so heavy duty, but also light weight at the same time. It breathes and my daughter does not get hot and also stays warm in the winter. This is the only carrier that she doesn't cry in and is comfortable in. When she was a newborn I highly recommend watching the video recommendation for it and us a small rolled blanket to support your childs hips and for their comfort. It really is an amazing carrier. It supports my back with a huge back cushion that doesn't add extra weight. It feels like a natural way to hold your baby. I love it so much and could go on and on about how comfortable it is and easy to use. You do have to learn a bit about how to put it on yourself but there are so many videos out there to help you put it on correctly! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ... show more
