I bought this product simply from positive reviews that I had read and my curiosity. I needed a scope for my new PCP. Reviews on the standard HT 40 mm stated it had a very narrow eye box one fully zoomed. I took a gamble on this one 44 mm lens. I am pleasantly surprised with the first focal plane 26 power zoom. Certainly The ibox narrows but it's really not bad. So after mounting it on the gun and using it out to 100 yards I've determined it's a keeper. What a turnaround from my original expectation to return the scope based on its budget price. It's quite well made. Clear and good value for the money. The side focus was way off I simply undid the three grub screws remounted the turret into the correct position. I have not used the illimination . There were several promotions available on this scope and I ended up getting it for around $100. I definitely recommend for a no or low recoil gun. ... show more

I put this scope on my Air Venturi Avenger .25 cal, it was works well, I swapped out the included rings for some Westhunter adjustable rings so I can fit the large capacity magazine in the Avenger, I got this Scope dialed in very fast and it holds it's accuracy throughout the range of zoom, it has very nice turrets, very positive clicks and locking, pull up to turn push down to lock, comes with an AO wheel and a sun shade, flip up covers and medium rings, FFP very fine reticle, it's nice for target acquisition, it is a very nice scope, I will buy another. ... show more

I don't know it would stand up to firearm or spring airgun recoil, but for recoil free applications like a PCP airgun its very good. Holds zero, despite handling and dropping. The glass is clearer than another scope I have that cost 4 times as much

    • Seems great, DON'T USE THE RINGS!

I ordered the 4-16x44 originally and immediately checked the focus, diopter, turrets and clarity. Clarity was excellent with just a little chromatic abberation around the very outside edge of the view. Very good for the price point. The turrets are tactile, but slightly off of the indexing marks...about 1/2 if a hashmark. The AO knob was smooth and slightly stiff, but worked well and was generally accurate with range calibration. The diopter worked great and focused the reticle very nicely. I then mounted it on my 6.5 grendel AR using the supplied rings. I had other rings on order from Midway USA, but I wanted to mount the scope and try it out, so I used the supplied rings. There was no info on how tight to tighten the rings, so I tightened the rings to 15 inch pounds and tightened the rail mount to 25 inch pounds. I then went to the range to do a sight in, and the first thing I notice is that the AO adjustment knob will hardly move now. I then removed the scope from the rings and the knob was still extremely stiff and when I turned it the parallax wouldn't adjust at all now. Upon inspection of the scope and rings, I found the rings have a pad top and bottom in the rings that distorted the tube and prevented the parallax adjustment from working anymore. Take advice from me and throw the rings away! Anyway, I promptly filed a return with Amazon and they took it back and quickly sent me a new scope. However, the scope I got back was now the 6-24x44 model of this scope. I have checked out all of the functions and this one seems to be great as well, but clearly not the one I originally ordered. I'm OK with the 6-24 power version, so I think I will keep it. I have Warne rings now to mount it in and will be using those now. Minus 1 star because of the crappy scope rings, but the scope itself seems top shelf and very clear. Just do yourself a favor and throw the rings away and use quality rings. Discoveryopt sells a line of cnc milled rings that work great on other scopes I have, so look into those. ... show more

I had high hopes for this scope. Great features & all I wanted in a scope. The first one I got, the parallax adjustment only moved 10 yards. The replacement one they sent, didn't sit straight on the rifle, was kanted to the left. I replaced the rail and rings but it was still kanted to the left. The windage adjustment knob turned but it did not make any changes inside the scope. Customer service and the replacement was fast. I hope they can make a better product in the future. ... show more

First the only thing I didn't like was the parallax wheel attachment loose wouldnt stay on..OK thats the only thing I didn't like and you don't need it..The rest of this scope is just perfect tracks perfect glass is so crisp and clear clicks very nice and you can feel and hear each click ..don't buy them all people This guy plans on another purchase..Great job discovery on this scope ..MIne now sits on my gauntlet 30..I have more gums I want this perfectly designed scope on! ... show more
