I needed a wall lamp to take advantage of the switched outlet in a bedroom. Because there is no room for a floor lamp or table there, I needed a wall sconce with a cord. The dimmer is a very nice touch. I attached the lamp with 3M Command strips on the back of the metal hanging plate and also used one of the sticky strips to position the dimmer switch on the wall. The lamp looks nice and gives off a good amount of light when at full brightness. Only one thing keeps it from 5 stars: the plug could have been a 90 degree version that would allow the plug to lay flat on the wall. The only reason this is not perfect is because the plug is in the walking path around the bed. It's nit picky admittedly. Overall, a very good looking and functioning lamp for a good price. ... show more
