    • The kids, and Dad, love it
The outer box arrived beat to death, but that's not for a PRODUCT rating (unlike what so many reviewers seem to think these days.) Five stars for ease of set-up and utility the kids are getting out of it. From the start, the instructions are pretty simple to follow; toward the in it gets a bit more difficult to see what the picture is trying to imply - but the color picture on the box helps out as well. Now, even on colder wet days the kids are heading out to play in, around and on the "spider web," as they call it. Some days they use the hand-holds and rubber bands to attach sheets and make it a place for a picnic, other days they get out there and climb around and get some exercise. The product is very sturdy and the powder coating is pretty good. This could last quite a few years. Time will tell if the kids will still love it, but I can tell you this much, I haven't seen one of these in any of our neighborhood yards; nor at our two nearby neighborhood playgrounds. It makes for a nice "change of pace" for the local friends, boys or girls. So nice to see them using their imaginations OUTSIDE again. Dad has also found that the V-shaped bars make for a really sturdy Chin-up (L-sit if you are tall) and Dip station for outdoor exercise. The top horizontal bars are also wide enough for regular pull-ups (hands pronated), but don't kip because you might hit your head. If you cannot do chins and dips yet, the first level bars are good for easy angled push-ups and horizontal rows. If your legs can handle it, or you wrap a towel or short swimming noodle around a top horizontal bar, you could hang upside down from it and hit some abs. Or hang inside and do knee-ups after your chin-ups. Throw in a $10 speed rope or other calisthenics next to it for more cardio in the circuit and you can have a quick, intense workout! One could also use it for flexibility training if they were so inclined. The only drawback is also a plus - for mowing, it is pretty large and takes up quite a bit of the yard. It is not too heavy to move with two young adults. However, it is nice to have one large enough for our family of 4 to all fit on or under it depending on the use at the time.     • Sturdy and much larger than expected!
This is a great climber and much larger than I imagined! I didn't think that it would be as big as it is. 5' tall in the center is just enough to slightly scare my 6 year old, but my 9 year old loves it! I put it together in a little over 2 hours, by myself. I did have a little help from the kids, holding things up and what not. To some of the questions: Is it sturdy? I'm a 6ft 200lb adult and I can climb on it without it flexing a bit. It doesn't move that much either and I don't have it staked down. Does it get hot? Heck yes it does! I assembled this in the bright, noon sun (in the southern 92 degree heat). All the pieces were too hot to hold for longer than a few seconds. However, the kids still climbed on it when I got done. But it will get pretty hot. The plastic grips don't seem to get as hot as the metal poles. It is pretty difficult to put together by yourself, because of the angles that it needs to be held, in order to assemble completely. Also, it took me a few minutes to figure out exactly how to get the sections to fit together, but after that, it was easy. I didn't use the included Allen wrench, but instead used my drill with a bit. I also used a deep socket for the nuts. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has kids who love to climb. Even though it says "children ages 6-10," I can see my kids using it until they are around 12. ... show more

    • Great Product and it's not made in China so I would give 10 stars if I could!
I did purchase this on sale for $189 so at that price point you are getting the top tier brand for an unbeatable deal especially once you factor in how high the quality is compared to these other brands. It took me just under two hours to assemble with the best three-year-old help (she was mainly supervising but would give me pointers from time to time) I could ever ask for! It is possible for one adult to assemble in an hour or less, but you will miss out on the quality time spent with the best help anyone could dream of; your kids of course. It was obvious the product was of high quality once I opened the box and I was actually surprised by how heavy the box was, that is until I noticed this was made in Taiwan and not in China. All of the pipe was coated in a thick layer of matte finished powder coating paint so even when the sun has been beating on this jungle gym for hours you can still climb on it without being burned or the metal feeling too hot! Seriously though super easy to assemble but do read the directions as you must stack the pipes in a certain order as it is engineered to increase the metal pipes rigidness & strength. I would highly recommend this brand of playground equipment as it is obvious, they care about safety and longevity of the products they produce! ... show more
