I have assembled enough of these to know "be prepared". Read the directions a few times through and read review comments before purchasing. If you do not have the following tools, do not purchase: Ratcheting screw driver with multiple Philips bits Cordless torque drill Straight metal pick Rubber mallet As for the directions, below are errors and suggestions in their step-by-step numbering system. 1.1 The "R" in the last sentence and on the diagram should be "L" for left. Place the panel against a wall, align the bar with the opening and push the metal bar in with a rubber mallet. A "few inches" can be defined as 2 inches since the bar will be pushed completely into the panel in a later step. 1.3 The "L" in the last sentence and on the diagram should be "R" for right. 1.9 This can apply to any step. Remove loose plastic parts in holes before fastening. 1.12 Do not initially tighten the fasteners. Assemble loose, then tighten all afterwards. 1.13 Do not initially tighten the fasteners. Assemble loose, then tighten all afterwards. The metal bar flexes. 1.15 Install self-tapping screws second. They will take a few seconds to cut through the metal. 1.16 Use a straight metal pick to align the holes before fastening. 2.2 Visually align the metal bar holes with the dimples for the hinges in step 2.6. 2.7 Visually align the metal bar holes with the dimples for the hinges in step 2.16 before fastening the metal bar. 2.10 Place the panel against a wall, align the bar with the opening and push the metal bar in with a rubber mallet. 2.13 These parts do not align with the holes. Be sure to align the square sides of the bolts with the square openings in FGN. 2.17 The drill bit broke. But I was able to use the remaining portion to pre-drill the holes.     • The Shed from Hell
We received shed and were very anxious to get it assembled. A simple assembly took hours, parts don`t line up, holes don`t line up. Most important tool is the mallet. Hindges suck

    • The double edge sword
I was worried about reviews stating product arrives damaged. Was not pleased with condition of package when taken off truck. Manufacture could/should use better packaging. However, all pieces were in perfect shape, hardware and instructions included. Nothing missing. Yes, if you are not a regular do it yourselfer, you will get frustrated at certain points of assembly. I was able to complete without incident in about 4 hours. Yes, the hinges are challenging, but follow directions and use the right tools. Also, if assembly in a small area beware that once panels and walls are combined with floor, you will need to be able to lay down or position to get underneath. I like it a lot and it looks great. Didn't give 5 star on weatherproof because I sealed seams with 2 inch vinyl tape on both sides and will be securing with spiral anchors and run a cable over the top to prevent moving in winds. This is Florida and we'll see how it holds up in Tropical Storm environment. ... show more

    • Great little shed
I researched, researched and then did more research, finding the "right" shed was not an easy decision. I am familiar with Lifetime products, we have a picnic table the same brand, basketball hoop. These are rugged and hold up well in midwestern winters. This shed was fairly easy to assemble, one mistake with the shelve vertical bar, directions are reversed, someone mentioned this in a previous review, but I forgot until I had almost driven myself crazy trying to attach shelves. There is only one way to attach the shelves and it is very easy, once you realize the directions are wrong. The other directions are very straightforward and easy to understand. It took me a couple of hours to assemble and I did it alone. This shed is not waterproof, water will come in at the bottom door, but it does a great job at organizing garden stuff and kids toys. I wish there were more shelves and/or hooks for the inside. ... show more

    • Not an assembly for novices!
The curved sides on back were difficult to put together because the "tabs" at the bottom did not go in easily, causing issue when doors went on. All the hardware not in the box, had to go buy,

Lifetime makes quality products and this shed is no different. Only issue I had was that it came without assembly instructions. Was forced to use their website and download a digital copy. Only reason for not giving 5 stars...
