Bought this to charge my lifepo4 battery that I purchased. Since I also have lead acid batteries I felt that this would be a good compromise. Surprised it came in an envelope instead of a box but there was no damage to the unit at all. Tried charging my 4 year old lead acid deep cycle batteries for over 15 hours that were not completely discharged and could not get them to fully charge. I started to have concerns about the purchase but decided to wait for my lifepo4 battery before making a decision on returning it. Received the life po on Friday and proceeded to attach the charger to it. This unit took about 3 1/2 hrs. to completely charge a battery that came to me about half charged per the app. Never got hot (90 degrees) and the fan worked as should. Unit shut off as soon as it read full and I disconnected it. If it continues to operate in this manner I will consider it money well spent. Would definitely buy again. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I am very impressed with this battery charger. I have an older battery from my son's car that went flat for the duration ( or so I thought ). This battery just sits in the car with a parasitic draw from the car’s electrical system somewhere. Some great features is that automatically detects 12V or 24V battery, automatic monitoring of the entire charging process through the latest intelligent CPU control program. I really like the big LCD display that shows the charging status and battery status, but keep in mind you need to be closer to an electrical outlet. Well after has gone flat several times, once when he was driving to his work and then when he was living work also. I looked online for ways to try to bring back a battery and decided to use the "old non computerized charger technique" I just so happened to have an old charger like that and they say to let it charge for a few weeks/month and sometimes it will bring them back by "cooking off" some of the sulfation so to speak. It did not work. In fact, one of the cells froze while on the old charger. I thought it was really too late for that battery now. I figured it was time for a new charger anyway, and wanted a maintainer too so since a battery from my tilting trailer is too big for the battery tender jr. that I had on it ( found that out after a few weeks after buying and using it on the trailer battery) So I got this lifepo4 couldn't help myself but to try it out on the old battery from the car, so I charged it for 2 hours and the battery was coming back, the voltage was already reading good with the multimeter.     • Desulfurization Function Actually Works
I’m a battery geek and know that if I truly maintain them as they are intended to be maintained, several decades is a consistent life expectancy of just about any chargeable battery. I’ve proven this on boats and cars alike. This charger makes that process very simple. I have a boat that I could not get to for months and during the winter months, the solar power was not enough to float them. I thought I’d lost them and they were new AGM’s at a price tag of about $800 each. This inexpensive but very functional battery charger and maintainer saved them and it was a one-and-done repair. It’s been six months since I used this charger on these particular batteries and they’ve been maintaining over 13.2 V since. Works fine, I haven't had any problems. But the advertised charging rates are wildly optimistic. I have a battery monitor right at the batteries, and can see current going in as well as out. At the 24v/5A advertised rate, I'm reading around 3.8 amps at the batteries. 24V/8A setting charges at around 4.8 amps, and the 24V/10A setting charges at around 6 amps. The max charge rate for my batteries is 20A, so they are not limiting the charger. ... show more

    • Really like this versatile small charger.
Been using this for topping up a small 400 watt solar panel with 2.5 kw lithium storage. Very nice that it automatically regulates the charge and tracks progress, shutting off when at capacity. I'm using for 24 volt storage, but also have an alternate 12v bank that it would serve. Small, mostly quiet with some fan noise, but not an issue. Has a lot of features for lithium or lead acid, and at quite a reasonable price. It's not a real fast charge, but has sufficient capacity to work in a few hours or overnight. Other than auto off, I am not finding an off switch other than pulling the ac line, but maybe I missed that. Able to run it along with the solar charge source if needed. ... show more

I have various 12v chargers, but I had a need for a 24v charger. It is very easy to use just plug into power, connect the clips to the battery, and it auto-detected 24v and started charging. The unit is quite compact and portable. The fan made a bit more noise than anticipated, but that's fine. Gets the job done for a variety of 12 and 24v batteries at a great price. ... show more

    • Works great on lead acid batteries.
I purchased this charger to charge 2 deep cycle wet lead acid batteries. The batteries although in good shape and rarely cycled are 9 years old. Total combined 1100 CCA. I used a dumb charger to fully charge the batteries but they weren’t. I discharged using a sine wave converter at 15 amps. Being 9 years old I used the repair function on the charger. It took almost 2 and 1/2 days to charge the pair which is approximately how long they said it would (24 hours X 2). It doubled the capacity. Background, I have learned a lot about batteries in the 2 days and for the price I’ll be switching to lithium iron phosphate batteries soon. At present I can’t speak to the lithium battery problems some have mentioned. The lack of battery type selection did not affect my use. For sure it could use a better manual and I would like to know what stage of charge cycle it was in. For the price I can live without. To wrap up it worked great on lead acid batteries and gives status on battery voltage, current and AH while it is charging :) ... show more

Good charger but does not automatically turn on after fully charging. Does not automatically sense drawdown on battery and turn charging back on. Otherwise awesome
