We have a 20 x 15 pond dug out. We had four people to lay out the underliner and pond liner. We thought it would be super-difficult to lay down the liner. It wasn't. It was good to have one on each side, but we could have done this with two. It was cut exactly to the dimensions we ordered. It is covered with a powdery substance, but that was easy to clean off. The liner is very heavy and was very well packaged on a pallet. It's heavy to work with but that will also make it last long. We are very happy with this liner. Be sure to turn it over so the writing doesn't show.

This product despite the claim is low quality, like a dry rotted bike innertube. I was able to get it to work for about 1.5 months, and now has massive 18 inch rips in it. I am guessing maybe some critter got in the koi pond, but dang this thing just rips up with ease. There is no structure or woven fiber to help keep it intact. I even spent the extra for the underlayment which was joke in itself, it most certainly would not protect from any rocks, which I did not have, but just the same, not sure how it could of protected anything. Sadly my Koi will have to try and survive a winter with only 8 inches of water now, because this liner was super expensive and mostly worthless. I should of went with a cheaper much stronger liner. You can even stick a finger nail through this thing with ease, and it will tear just as easy as a sheet of paper once your finger; nail goes through it.. This was a really bad investment, I would NOT recomend it. It will not last at all. ... show more

and so am I! bought this after much deliberation but am very happy (after digging a roughly 6x8x3 hole and lining it with sand and old towels/comforters) as it has been a year since installation and my fish are happier than ever. it has not only withstood cleaning, but the assault of my cousin’s crazy dog jumping in and clawing her way out 3 times in one visit! I was terrified that she might have punctured it but it has held up against dogs, rocks falling while landscaping, and even a tree fall during a storm! I could not be more impressed by its resilience and have already purchased more of it for the other tiers of said pond. ... show more
