  • Really nice scope, 30mm alot larger than my 1" Athlon
Style: APLR2 FFP IR MOA
Besides big and heavy the rest is really nice, has ffp and can see crosshairs better, crosshairs look great, lighted recticle is nice to have also side focus. Lens clear and normally 50mm I need large rings but believe could get by with medium rings.

  • Very good scope for the price
Style: APLR2 FFP IR MOA
You can't beat Athlon when it comes to value for money. The scopes have a very good build quality, they function exactly as advertised, and are very cheap for what you get. I have multiple athlon optics on multiple different rifles and they all hold zero fantastic and the side parallax adjustment lets you get great focus on the fly. Super accurate and FFP is definitely a plus. I will be purchasing more athlon optics for my future builds ... show more

  • Very nice scope at the pricepoint
Style: APLR2 FFP IR MOA
My favorite low cost scope. Reticle is very clear, parallax/side focus works well and you'll end up with a very clear target image. Adjusters click crisply and are easy to remove them so as to move the zero marking to the rifle's zero. The illum levels work well, as does the knob. I sent a more expensive scope back to it's manufacturer because it presented an insufficiently clear image at high mag. Then I bought another Athlon Argos to replace it. ... show more

  • Good for the price (eye relief is problematic a high magnification)
Style: APMR FFP IR MIL
I installed on my 10/22 bench gun (shooting at near range on high magnification). It works well (clear glass with accurate adjustment and tracking), but you have to have the stock properly adjusted to maintain exact eye relief at high magnification without loosing sight picture.

  • Good optics
Style: APLR2 FFP IR MOA
I have a few other Athlon scopes on various rifles, along with Vortex, Burris, and one older Weaver Micro-track 36-power long-range target scope. I have always been impressed with the Athlon's optics. For the money, they're hard to beat. Even the "cheaper" 4 X12 one I have on my B-Mag 17 WSM is impressive for a simple duplex reticle I still get regular hits on small targets out to 250 yards. Decent stuff. ... show more

  • Not bad for a budget scope
Style: APLR2 FFP IR MOA
For the price this thing is great. I took a vortex pst gen 2 off my rifle knowing how well it groups with a good scope and slapped this one on to compare. Shoots the same groups. Only downside is the field of view is significantly smaller than a better quality scope. Glass is clear. The reticle is good. I don’t like the center crosshair it’s way too large and if you’re trying to be precise like I am it might cover the whole target. At 1k yards the center cross covers a clay pigeon or soda can at 1k yards. I didn’t understand how to set up the turret at the range as I sighted one the rifle set the zero stop and went to dial for 1k and it only went to 8moa and stopped. I actually had to take off the turret and spin the black piece to the other side and reinstall the turret for me to be able to dial correctly. I didn’t read the manual so DONT take it out on the scope for my negligence lol. My howa 1500 6mm creedmoor with 20moa base I can dial up to 60moa of elevation and hold over the rest. Overall it’s a great budget scope for the price just don’t compare it to something more expensive. The zero stop is an awesome feature for the price it’s a true zero stop not the hard to set shims like old vortex scopes. The turret clicks are super tactical and crisp not soft and mushy like I thought they would be. I have a vortex diamondback tactical and although In terms of optical clarity I might lean towards the vortex scope but everything else this scope is twice as good as the vortex. I don’t think any scope on the market will compare to this scope at the price it is ... show more

  • Good scope at a good price
Style: APMR FFP IR MIL
I've ordered and put two of these scopes into service on my 308 rifles. I have no complaints. They perform well, hold zero, and the illuminated reticle makes shooting at night under green lights easy.
