It’s a decent little printer. My daughter was happy with it and immediately started printing with her friends! Pictures came out pretty detailed but not quite like the original images. The knock I have is the speed and noise. It’s pretty slow and it sounds much louder than it should, maybe some thin foam lining inside to deaden the sound somehow ... show more

    • Surprisingly Good Prints - Fun to Use
Here is my background for writing this review. For more than fifty years, I have been an advanced amateur and professional photographer and have had three different home color darkrooms during many of those past years. For a decade, during the peak years of color film usage, I owned a one-hour photo lab. When digital photography was finally able to produce better results than film, I embraced it with enthusiasm, sold my film cameras, darkroom equipment and closed my one-hour photo lab. Then I replaced all of that film stuff with high-end digital cameras, lenses, inkjet and dye transfer color printers. Smart phone cameras have become so good they have become competitive with dedicated digital cameras. It's not surprising that their images dominate social media. Smartphone photos are also frequently shared with friends and family by various means, but color prints are still popular. All of my networked printers at home will print from my smart phone. However, when I'm traveling, this truly portable, battery powered color printer that can fit into a pocket or handbag is a definite asset and fills that gap. This printer does an amazing job of quickly (about a minute) of cranking out a completely dry 2" X 3" color print via a Bluetooth connection from my phone. Opening the package from Amazon, downloading and installing the free Liene photo app onto my Android phone, loading a package of printing paper into this instant printer took no more than five minutes before I was making prints. The included instructions were clear, but I found most of that process intuitive. Aside from the very decent quality of the photos that this printer quickly produces, I appreciated that 100 sheets of ready to print photo paper were INCLUDED in the package. Anticipating that I will be using this palm sized printer during my foreign travels, I ordered another fifty sheets (five, sealed ten sheet packages) from Amazon for about 50-US cents per sheet...no ink cartridges required. Using the same charger or USB ports that keep my phone's battery in top condition, I can charge this printer's internal battery, which will keep this printer going for about thirty prints. This is a truly portable printer that has worked flawlessly for me and has truly international applications. At a neighborhood Halloween party I delighted the attendees by photographing them in costume and then giving them a color print soon afterwards. This instant photo printer is a novelty to have! I’m having a lot of fun with it so far and love being able to print photos from my phone. I grew up with Polaroid cameras and was in the market for a new one, but after getting this, I may have changed my mind. This suffices for me. You need to download their app in order to print anything. I didn’t mind doing so but I know there are many people out there that are hesitant/cautious about the apps they install on their phone. Unfortunately there’s no other way around it. The Liene Photo app works seamlessly. I’ve been printing random stuff for the past few months and have yet to experience any issues. If you’re curious about its print quality, you won’t get results that are anywhere near to what you’d expect from a photo center. Color accuracy isn’t that great - it doesn’t print true to original color but it still comes out nice. The prints kinda have a retro look to them which I’m fond of. I also like that they have an adhesive backing ‘cause who doesn’t like stickers? I will come back to post comparison photos after my review gets approved, if I remember to. I’m very happy with this set. I love that the printer is compact and lightweight. I also appreciate that 10 packs of zink photo paper were included. I haven’t gone through all of the 100 sheets yet (I’ve only used one fifth) but I’m glad they’re not hard to find & that I can use other brands if I wanted to. ... show more

I love the printer and purchased the printer 2x3 100 but only came with 50 sheets. I ordered this for a wedding and had plans for the 100 sheets.

    • Super cool little gadget
This thing is FUN. I mean, I'm out here wirelessly printing full color meme stickers from my phone! Do I need this? No, of course not. Is it fantastic and a good time? YES. The printer is extremely easy to set up. It comes charged and ready to put the photo paper in. You just have to download the app, which I found very easy to use. The instructions are straightforward -- if you read and follow them, you can't really mess it up. Photo quality is just okay -- it doesn't do very fine grain detail and it tends to wash out some things. But it's a color photo printer the size of a walkman, so honestly, who cares? The photos look cool enough. The app for some reason REALLY wanted access to my contacts (there were several prompts for me to turn this permission on), but you *can* use the app while refusing to give it permission for that. It will just pester you about it. Which makes me a little suspicious, but not enough to stop using this cool little thing. ... show more
