  • Great product
I repacled steel breaks with these for saltwater. The old ones were so corroded the wouldn't work. These were so easy to put on and fit perfectly.

  • Super fast shipping!!
Looks like high quality brake pads. Buying cheap pads can result in pieces of the pad breaking off and wedging between the drum and pads which results in overheating. When overheating occurs the seals are compromised which results in grease being cooked out and then bearing failure. Bearing failure can destroy the axle resulting in costly repairs. Always use high quality brake pads from a reputable company. ... show more

  • good fit
The install was easy and perfect fit on 3500lb axle EZ loader Trailer. The shoes were already adjusted close to where they needed to be. The metal was corrosion resistant plating, and should provide good service if salt water is rinsed. I installed a system with a 3/8 brass fitting through the backing plate that connects to a hose fitting on the trailer making the rinse part easier. ... show more

  • Not all parts rust resistant
The brakes just locked up on me because the shoe holdowns and retaining caps rusted away. They should be stainless like the advert claim.! The rest seems to be usable but the adjuster and some other parts are also showing rust damage. It is difficult to find replacements because the parts store want part numbers and the lengths of the holdown pins are not listed and they are all different lengths. I cannot locate anywhere online for stainless replacements, so I have to buy several sets and replace them periodically, as soon as I locate a source. They are in expensive, but hard to get apparently without a whole spring kit which is not needed sin e this kit does appear to supply stainless springs. ... show more

  • Great replacement for my 1993 trailmaster boat trailer
These seem to be better quality than the OEM brakes that were replaced as everything appears to be stainless steel. The OEM had several non-stainless components that were severely corroded. I was just going to replace the shoes, but I'm glad I got the whole assembly. Hint: If you're like me and haven't done any work on drum brakes in years, (like 25 years) take a few minutes to reacquaint yourself with the process. At first I though they didn't fit because I had installed the brake line before putting the drum back on. I pushed in the brake cylinder, thinking it was fully compressed, like I would with a disk caliper but gravity was causing the brake fluid to fill cylinder just enough that by the time I picked up the drum it wouldn't go back on. Ha! took me a WHILE to figure out what was going on. Install the drum first - then the brake line. Hopefully that saves someone else a few headaches. ... show more
