It’s a pretty thin (great for hot sleepers) and very soft after the first wash. It’s also a good weight. Some of the threads from the X stitching are loose but i’m not concerned about it. I bought the king size for my queen sized bed and it’s wonderfully oversized. The charcoal gray is a very cool dark gray with blue undertones. I was looking for an all-cotton California King bedspread that was attractive, well made and durable. This bedspread met all my expectations. The cross stitch pattern puts this bedspread in a higher level of quality made material. The fabric is light weight, comfortable and lets the body breathe so no sweating or uncomfortably moist nights. The ochre color is better looking in person. It is a golden harvest color that goes with many color combinations of sheets and blankets. It stays in place throughout the night even if you are a person that moves often under the covers. I would have given this bedspread a 5-star rating except for the corners at the end of the bedspread. There is a lot of extra fabric that could create a tripping hazard. I have tucked the extra fabric between the bed and the storage bench at the end of my bed. Otherwise, I totally recommend this product for many reasons beyond what I have described above. This quilt I lived bought 2 different colors late October into November and I do not sleep using the quilt as I take off bed and use blankets only, but LOOK HOW THE STITCHING IS COMING APART!! NO kids or animals in house so not being abused in any way. Omgosh !! All that money going to popped stitching. I washed 1 time in a front loader which is not any type agitation and on delicate in cold wash. Really ?!! Do not buy I am going to contact the manufacturer and will update this post on their customer service. I could just cry. Update - I had to return it as worried I’d end of with broken stitches everywhere and to make all aware the company will not assist in any problem as not purchased from their website so I am fortunate I got mine returned from/to POS but had to post this review and pics and info. ... show more
