I own several diffusers and I like this one the best for my master bathroom and bedroom (I keep it on my bathroom counter and it fragrances my bedroom as well). I use mainly peppermint essential oil because it helps with my migraines and helps me sleep, but I also occasionally enjoy eucalyptus oil and citrus oils such as lemon, grapefruit, or orange. I like to add a couple drops of grapefruit to the peppermint. And then very occasionally I really enjoy bergamot or ylang ylang. So I’ve used diffusers for many years and can tell when I first use one if the quality is desirable. The Levoit diffuser puts out more fragrance with less oil than other ones I have used, and it’s quiet. I love that it comes with the little cup to use to fill it as you are not supposed to fill them directly from the sink. I never realized why until I read the clear and simple instructions from Levoit- there is a vent you are not supposed to get wet at all! My diffuser of another brand has the vent and nowhere does it tell you not to get this vent wet or that you should not fill it from the sink faucet because this might splash it. It’s not an obvious thing and no one new to diffusers would ever realize this, including me until now. So, I really appreciate Levoit’s clear and easy directions and details. I appreciate the look of this diffuser, the white color looks better in my bathroom, and the settings are very easy to use. This was a good value for the money and a good quality product. This diffuser works wonderful and I purchased one of the Hotel scents and put a ew drops in the water and it makes the room smell sooo good. I recommend this plus I like the auto shut off if it runs out of water.

EDIT: After using daily for over a month, the bottom started to leak. So I have to put some towel underneath to protect the surface of the shelf where I put my diffuser on. For that, I reduced the star rating to 4. My search for a decent diffuser is over finally. I bought a cheaper, but very well rated diffuser prior to this, and it broke in 3 days. So I considered much more expensive options, but none really had satisfying reviews for the price. And I found this diffuser!! Price: very reasonable, look: clean and doesn't look cheap, water capacity and size: not too big and not too small which I was looking for. It's pretty quiet too. The plastic doesn't feel cheap, and so far it's working great in my living room. I don't like strong scent, so I keep it in low steam setting. If you don't want to spend much but want a decent diffuser, buy this. ... show more

I really love this defuser. It works just as advertised and the auto shut off feature is nice. It doesn't work if you fill it all the way to the fill line. That might be the reason for the negative reviews. I also really appreciate the long cord. So many cords are ridiculously short now. I've had it about a month and still love it. ... show more
