Installed the 2 sodimms in my HP/Compaq 8510w Mobile Workstation with a T7500 Intel CPU. BIOs recognized the 8gb of total ram. No issues. Just to be on the safe-side, I ran both the built-into BIOs memory test and Memtest86 and both came up with no errors with the Leven memory. Warranty honored and memory replaced, now works and does not throw an error on the laptop. Item not delivered as new, in a blister pack. Item presented as a Hardware problem after installation. When I did a Memory Diagnostic everything failed on it. Unfortunately, I was installing a new hard drive and operating system all at the same time so by the time I worked out what the problem was I was beyond refund time. ... show more

The ease of installation depends on the specific laptop that you have. In my case, it was an older HP with easy access to the memory. Do not forget to discharge any static electricity before installing.
