While not the fastest kit of DDR4 ram, this kit was perfect for a Dell 3050 OptiPlex MT with i7 7700 CPU, native M.2 SSD slot on MB and 500W Dell OEM power supply with two 6-pin power connectors for discrete GPU 😲. My company was throwing away all our old business desktops due to a huge company wide upgrade to mobile. I was lucky enough to get ALL the old hardware (minus hard drives) and piece together a nice gaming desktop for my oldest daughter. Just installed it in my PC about 30 minutes ago. No problems. It shows up in the bios and in windows. I ordered another set just to get those bragging rights about having 128gb of ram that will never be used, but I need it to fill the other two slots...

I've used the Leven DDR4 memory before, and it's worked flawlessly. This set causes instability in the computer I wanted to use it with. Other memory in the same system is OK.

Plugged it in to my motherboard and worked perfectly! Bios picked up the speed right away and now have plenty of memory to bring back to life my old gaming tower. Was nervous because of how cheap it was but I can’t recommend it enough.

I couldn't believe the price! I figured that I would test at its rated speed and return if it failed testing... I was surprised to see that it ran the full range of comprehensive tests without a single failure. specs: DDR3, 1600MHz, 1.5v, 11-11-11-28 latency. Some notes: • Does not have heatspreader, but this is generally not needed unless you're trying to push memory to run at higher voltages and speeds than rated. These chips barely get warm. • Uses Hynix chips. Hynix may not be recognized by most people, but is the second largest memory chip manufacturer (behind Samsung). Over the years, I've known Hynix to be very good memory. • Equally important to good memory is the module manufacturer. I had never purchased Leven before, but found they are a 20+ year Taiwanese manufacturer specializing in memory modules. I see no problems. Recommendations: First, do an Internet search for 'MemTest86' (it's a free download from PassMark). Follow the instructions to install on a 1GB or larger USB thumbdrive (it will be erased). After you have the MemTest thumbdrive set up, shut down the computer and install the memory modules. You shouldn't need to set anything — your motherboard BIOS should read the SPD embedded in the module and automatically set the correct speed and latency. Boot to the thumbdrive and accept the defaults to run the tests. The free version will loop through all the tests four times. This will take several hours depending on the amount of memory and speed of the computer, so it's best to plan this for overnight. After the test is complete, any errors will be listed on the screen. This stresses the memory far more than typical use so if the four loops can run without error, you can be pretty confident the memory is error-free. There should be NO errors. Any memory error will likely result in random blue screens, lockups, and other problems. Always test memory at the rated speed before you make any attempt to push it to run faster. In my experience, overclocking memory yields a relatively insignificant increase in performance at the cost of less reliable operation. In general, a larger amount of slower memory will be faster than a lesser amount of faster memory. My credentials: semi-retired after 40 years in computer design and component sourcing. ... show more
