The charger is working better than expected connected to a plug not directly hardwired with a 50 amp breaker. The app is also easy to use displays get information. My question when ordering this unit was the link of the charging cord it's right around 16 ft. It does come with good installation hardware and a charging head docking station. This is a great charger! The price is right and the charger running for several hours has stayed very cool considering I was running at 40amps. The charger is a little larger than expected but that's fine. The cord for the charger is much thicker than I expected which is a good thing, and likely why everything ran so cool. Unfortunately, this wasn't the changer for me since the cord coming from the charger is 16 feet. For a one EV family that would be fine but for two EVs in a two-car garage it comes up short. ... show more

Very affordable 48 amp charger with card and Bluetooth. Super easy to install if you already have a 14-50 NEMA plug, took all of 45”. Charges our Jeep 4xe, which maxes out at 32 amps, in 2 1/2 hours. So far so good.

Nice charger, easy to mount, attractive and most importantly: it does the job. Now for the bad: 1. I can't get it to deliver over 40a to any of my 3 EVs. 2. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to disable the need to use the RFID cards. 3. The "app" is a generic app lacking features and user friendliness. You need a 2.4ghz network to use it, 5Ghz won't cut it. If I hadn't already installed it I would consider a different charger. ... show more

I usually don't write reviews but I am a bit upset about the fact that the screen on the charger stopped working only after 4 months. This should not happen to a quality charger. If I could I would have asked for my money back. On a positive note, the charger works and when using the app you can charge your car without an issue. But it would be nice to have that screen. A bummer, not happy. Would I buy it again? That's a NO for me. ... show more

Charger works well so far but wanted it to directly charge without authorization (RFID or App). Manual isn't the most helpful for this or other features. I emailed support asking about this but then later was able to disable it with some combination of resetting breaker and holding RFID card up to it for a long time. Then I was pleasantly surprised to get a reply from support and here is what they said: "Please hold the card against the swipe area for 15 seconds to enable plug-and-play mode." Manual also doesn't state anything about hard wiring it but I did this anyway. Comes apart easy enough. Inside was using ring terminals so find proper ones for your size wire. I used battery life from Menards. Also needed to reset it to get the app to find it... Once again didn't see this in the manual but managed to reset by repeatedly pushing and releasing e-stop button. Once light started blinking differently, I was able to connect with the app. ... show more

    • The amperage doesn’t go over 40A

I am an electrical contractor and I ran a dedicated 240V lines with wire AWG 6 and a 50 ampere breaker. I changed the amperage from 40A to 48A but on the charger and on my vehicle display it shows 40A and never goes up to 48A. To be honest i am totally disappointed because there is lot of real 48A chargers around the same price on amazon. I don’t recommend this charger. ... show more
