If one of them comes to stay, I can provide a way for them to charge their vehicle even if they forget to bring their plug-in charger. Having to go to a public charger is a hassle, and why not? I've ordered a new Tesla and wanted to make sure that I had an adapter on hand in case I need to be able to charge it at a charging station that uses the J1772 plug instead of the NACS plug. So, I ordered this and will keep it in the car for when it's needed. Because Tesla hasn't even told me when I'll be taking delivery of the car (thanks Elon!), I haven't been able to test this in real life, but that said, it does fit nicely on the end of a Level 2 charger I have that uses the J1772 plug. I hand this feels solid and well constructed. Once I get my car and get to put this to use, I will be sure to update my review if it doesn't live up to expectations. ... show more

I got this to convert my J1772 plug at home to charge my Tesla Model 3 and it works perfectly! It easily slides in/out of the Tesla with no resistance (which is more than I can say about some other adapters I've tried). Despite not having a locking ring, I haven't had any issues with the J1772 plug coming out and leaving behind the adapter. It's worth noting that if you have a Tesla cord organizer where the Tesla plug slides into the front for storage, this adapter is not long enough to latch into the slot (I have yet to find any that are).
