I've tried several EV chargers and this one is one of the best. For home use, I plugged it into a 14-50 50a outlet and connected it to my home Wi-Fi. I can control the charge settings from the app or from the buttons on the charger. Plugged into a 240v outlet and charging at 40a charges at a rate of 9.6 Kw. It will charge my car from 40-80% in under 3 hours. For traveling, this charger is small enough to take along. If you are lucky enough to find a 50a outlet, you can charge at the 40a rate. If you only find a 30a outlet, you can set the charge level to 24a. I have a 5-15p to 14-50r adapter cord that allows me to use this charger on a standard 120v outlet. You can adjust the current to either 8a or 16a. If you have a 20a 120v outlet, you can use the 16a setting. If it's only a 15a outlet or there are other things on that circuit, you can change it to the 8a setting. You can set a schedule with the app or set a charging time using the buttons on the unit. Look carefully at the manual to understand the times. For example, to set it to 3 hours, you press the timer button until the 1 and the 2 LEDs are on (1+2=3). You can set the timer to 1-12 hours in one-hour increments. ... show more

This is a very potable, fast charging choice as EV chargers go. 40 Amps is higher than many options, and while the difference from something like 32 Amp to 40 is not that big, it's noticeably fast and has never left me in a pinch, the car is always charged faster than you expect with this charger. And this doesn't require special wiring to support that capacity, making it easy to install and use even in households. You can also set a timer to pre-plan charges, which is very helpful for electricity bills if you live in a city that lowers rates at off-peak hours. It comes with a carrying bag and is solid enough that you can easily toss this in the trunk or backseat and travel with it, which adds a welcome option for longer trips. Super nice portable charger for my husband's tesla! It works perfectly and matches up great. I would recommend looking over the particular models that this charger fits before purchasing. As long as you do that you should be good to go! This is definitely a very heavy duty and sturdy charger! And it even comes with a carrying case! Which makes for a super easy travel! I think that this charger works better than the name brand charger that he has as well! I feel like it charges up faster and the battery lasts longer. It's also got more weight to it and seems like it's made for more durable materials as well. Overall we definitely 100% recommend this particular charger just by how well it works and the convenience that it brings. Plus the fact that it works just as good as the Chargers that are at least two times this price. This one is definitely a great bang for your buck! If you've seen the price for a dealer installed charger and thought, there has got to be a cheaper option, there is. And you've found it here. At 40 Amps, it's not the fastest charger on earth, but still does the job pretty quickly. There are 48 amp chargers out there, but you have to have an electrical circuit capable of supplying them. No special circuit is needed for a "mere" 40 amps. It has a display that shows charge current outgoing, but you'll have to rely on the app for more detailed information. Which is fine, the app seems to work ok. Overall, this is WELL worth the money, especially when compared to the dealer installed options. ... show more

The QPQ charger is working great in my 2024 Tesla Model Y. It charges at a higher rate than most aftermarket chargers. The app allows you to schedule your charging times and adjust the amp level from 40 amps to literally 1 amp. The Smart Life App works with iPhone and Android... and pairs with the charger easily. Charging your EV at home during off peak hours (9pm - 6am) will cuts charging cost dramatically. By 50% in met case. I had a charger that would only charge at 16 amps. That wasn't a huge issue since I charged overnight but if I needed extra charge on the weekends I was outta luck. It takes several hours to add any usable charge. The QPQ 40 amp charger cut drastically cut charging times. I have not used a Tesla Supercharger since I bought this. There's dozens of 32 amp chargers on Amazon... this 40 amp charger is the one to have. Highly recommended. ... show more
