I ordered this SEGUMA Portable Level 2 Charger for Tesla EVs as i've been using a company owned Model 3 and the company doesn't provide a charger and expects the vehicles to be charged at a designated station off the clock, which was a no-no to me. I borrowed a Tesla Brand Mobile/Portable Charger from a friend who started with that one and got a fixed charging station at home but at the end of the day, and rightfully so, he asked to have his mobile charger back, i did inquire about the Tesla Mobile Charger and it's a whopping $580+Tax, compared to this $169 one, this is literally almost a QUARTER of the price. Performance wise i noticed no difference on a Level 1 Circuit as i don't have access to a Level 2 Circuit at the moment, and i'd say that it's even slightly faster than the Tesla branded i borrowed from my friend. Usually i feel a little bit of shame when i show up with a random brand that makes me look cheap, but this charger looks and feels sturdy, premium and well engineered. The carrying case is great and the connector has a button to remotely open the charger door of the vehicle (after set-up). Overall this SEGUMA Charger made it charging my EV possible at home as i could not afford the Tesla Brand one, and it does a quick job at it, recommended! ... show more

    • Good Value for What It Is - Portable 32A Charger

Easy portability is the first thing I get with this charger, and that's right in the title so I was hoping for that. Has durable carry bag that holds the unit and all cables and adapters and wall-plug adapters just fine. Nice and thick bag, btw. For charging, it's an overnight thing - gotta be at 32 Amps. But then that's the most you're going to see out of something that can plug into almost any 4-pin (or technically 3-pin if you use adapter) NEMA socket with 220 outlet - very few of those go above 40 amps and with 32 Amps I'm staying strategically 20% below where the breakers would kick out. So my results are as you'd expect for an IONIQ5 with a pretty big battery going from 20% to 90-ish percent. Overnight. And that's fine. These chargers are for when you've got the time. If I don't have the time, i find a L3 charger somewhere that will work with J1772, but really the use case for these is rare - long distance travel, typically, or staying at a relative's house for a week and tapping into his electric dryer outlet, LOL. Yes, it works well and the readouts are all good and accurate and it's made well and doesn't overheat and feels sturdy and all the rest. It's quite good for the price so the value is high, i think. The Level 2 EV Charger by SUGUMA, is well-made, solid performing charger, with all the capabilities you should need to keep your EV ready to go. Let’s take a closer look at what may or may not make this a good choice for your situation. I. Quality – The charger looks and feels like a well-made charger, with thick cables and a strong build. I was impressed at how nice of quality this one offers. It also comes with a pretty good quality travel bags that keeps it all contained in your truck until needed. I’d put the overall quality in the upper-middle level of the quality scale for at home EV chargers and guess that it should hold up well over time. II. Performance – This one has worked great in many ways, with power up to 32A that has 5 adjustable levels to what you need. The screen is nice to have, providing helpful information, such as timer, current, voltage, power used and temperature. It has 10 safety features and a strong durable build. The 25-foot cable is the most common length that’s on the longer side of the available cables and great to have if you can’t park next to the charger. Overall, this is a fantastic option that offers a higher charging ability, with notable quality, convenience and all the basic features needed. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. This review is for the "Electric Vehicle Station for Tesla, Vehicle Accessory" that I ordered via the Vine program. I had been wanting a portable charger for my 2021 Tesla Model Y since we only have the Tesla wall charger at home. This Seguma charger is about 20% less than the OEM Tesla Mobile Connector while providing a five-foot longer cable. The charger comes neatly packed in a nice zippered carrying case that easily lives in the under floor rear trunk compartment. It is on par with the build quality of the OEM charger and will last the lifetime of the vehicle or longer if taken care of. The included connectors provide flexibility on what outlets it can connect to, and the use of the standard Tesla NACS connector means it functions exactly like every other Tesla charger out there. The charging rate will vary based on the amperage of the socket it's plugged into. For on-the-go charging away from home when a supercharger isn't handy, this is the perfect accessory for peace of mind. At its current price point, this makes for an excellent, cost-effective alternative to the Tesla OEM charger. ... show more
