Stumbled to start it up. Plugged it in and it immediately produced a high pitched error sound, and displayed an error message. After 3 cycles of plug in with the error, I turned a red knob on the side with directional arrows. That was necessary to properly start up the unit, but that red knob was not shown or mentioned in the user manual. The app is generic (two options shown in the manual), but recognizes the charger, and has a very simple interface. Adding the charger was a bit clunky, but I stumbled into a completed Bluetooth pairing to the app. Performed 1 charge cycle so far, and it went well. In The app I set the charging amperage of 40A because my electrician said the plug connection should be limited to 40A. Hardwired connections could be set to 48A. The first charge executed at 26.4A, perhaps limited by our Nissan Leaf being charged. ... show more

I like that it can support higher amperage. Looks good and was easy for me to install. Charges our ev with no issues. Nice thick cables and solid feeling handle. I would have rated it 5 star except for two improvements needed. 1. The app. It is overly simplified. The manual mentions using passwords and/or fingerprints to activate, but there is no way to do this. 2. Lacks the ability to activate indoors without using the app or one of the RFID cards. While this is great if we put it outside to prevent unauthorized use, it would be nice to disable this for indoor use. Then we can just plug it in. As a workaround, I have one of the cards attached to the cord via a string. For the price it is a really good charger. ... show more

The product description say up to 9x faster than 120v. My 120v charger charged at about 1.4 kw. This 240v charger charged at 11.5 so more like 11x faster. I did have to install a 240v 50 amp breaker so maybe that is the reason. It came with a free tesla charger which is nice since I have family with a tesla. The charging cord is long enough to reach out into our driveway for easy charging of other EV's. The only downside is you have to use the included cards (or app) to start a charge. I just put my card on top of the charger for easy access. There may also be a way to charge money for others to use it. I have no use for that but maybe a store or apartment complex may. ... show more

This charger was reasonably priced and shipped very fast. Installation was done by a certified electrician. The charger worked perfectly for a few months. We would use it every 3-4 days, leaving it plugged in overnight to charge the EV. A week ago we noticed the car wasn't charging correctly. It would only charge 30% after an all night charge instead of 70% like normal. The next time when we charged it if flipped the breaker. We smelled something burnt around the charger so we called the electrician. HE SAID THE CHARGER WAS FAULTY AND WE WERE LUCKY THE BREAKER TRIPPED, OR IT WOULD HAVE BURN THE WHOLE HOUSE DOWN!!! I tried contacting the manufacturer, but no response from them! So be careful! These chargers are drawing a lot of current! More then our 5 ton AC or anything else in the house! ... show more

Installed this product, turned it on and error message came up on screen. Read the instruction booklet, no support phone number, called Amazon for support; they questioned my wiring; two hours later discovered a manual emergency kill button on side of charger; pressed it in and it started to work. Manual inadequate , Amazon support does not know product at all and why have a kill button; do they think it’s a fire hazard.? ... show more
