I'm a DIY guy and I really respect how well designed this lamp was. I never expected to assemble a lamp shade and never expected it to be so simple. The legs once assembled look like a single piece of lumber despite each being 3 pieces. Everything just worked great.

Love this tripod floor lamp. It was relatively easy to put together. Only tricky part was unrolling the lamp shade and clicking it into its frame. All in all great lamp and PB look for a lot less.

This is a cute lamp! I'm giving it four stars because the shade is a little 'iffy' - it's a little wavy if you look too close. I've ordered another lamp shade from Pottery Barn and I think that will make a huge difference. I'm glad I bought this lamp at such a great price!

Updated Review (7/2024): I just bought a second one of these lamps for my office. I got it in the darker legs for the office to match the dark desk. I posted a picture of the new dark legged lamp next to the one that has lighter legs so it’s easier for shoppers to see how the two color options compare to each other. Shades appear to be the same color. Again, super great value, sturdy, and functional. The holes didn’t line up great when I was assembling it (can’t remember if that was the case with my first one) but with some finagling and muscle, I was able to make it work. Super happy with my repeat buy!! Original Review: I looked at a lot of tripod lamps - some that were nearly 3 times the price of this one. In general, all seemed to have the same ratings, assembly process, etc. so I figured I’d take my chances on this one and am so happy I did! Yes, you have to assemble it, but it’s not hard and once assembled, it’s sturdier than I expected. With this style of lamp, it’s never going to be perfectly sturdy because of the tripod/skinny leg design. These legs are about as sturdy as you can get to still get the sleek look. I cannot see the joints unless I look real close. The shade is a light tan textured fabric so it compliments our neutral space well. It should go with a lot of different color schemes, as long as the color scheme isn’t too cool (this is definitely a warmer/tan color so real cool grays without any offsetting warm colors may clash). The shade has a seam, so we just put it towards the back and it cannot be seen. I like that the lamp came with tiny hooks so you can secure the brown cord down one leg, making it blend seamlessly with the design (as compared to some others that don’t come with the hooks, so the cord just hangs down the middle - sloppy). And the fact that the cord is brown, it blends right in with the legs. The foot pedal on/off is nice as compared to a pulley chain or twist knob, but we’ll have it hooked into a smart plug for auto on/off schedule, so likely won’t use it much. Just beautiful. Looks great next to my couch in my living room. Even the shade is of exceptional quality. The lamp requires assembly but easy to accomplish in under 30 minutes. I was amazed at how beautifully the lamp pieces were packaged; extra screws included and everything aligned perfectly. No doubt this lamp would be worth double elsewhere. ... show more

Beautiful lamp that offers great lighting. It looks a lot more expensive than it was which is great. It’s easy to put together and really sturdy / well made. We loved the first lamp we bought so much that we ordered two more exactly like it. The lamp pairs well with Alexa bulbs so we’re able to adjust the brightness and dim them when we want to.
