This bulb, Daylight 4000K at 600 lumens is fairly bright but the frosting does take the edge off somewhat.     • Finally, dimmable LEDs that don't flicker

The bulbs in the 3 light fixtures directly over our dining room table have been replaced by at least 5 different kinds of dimmable LED bulbs. Every one of them would flicker if the dimmer was set too low and it was driving us nuts. Most dimmable LED bulbs have built-in settings that measure the voltage from the dimmer and adjust their brightness to match. Unfortunately, they have a limited number of levels so if the dimmer is set in-between one of those levels, you get flickering. These bulbs have several levels so they can match the dimmer exactly and flickering is eliminated. This isn't new technology so bulbs that still flicker today are cheap junk. Thankfully these bulbs are quality and they give off a nice warm white hue. Very happy with them. ... show more

These bulbs are incredibly white. Think operating room white. They are definitely bright. I haven't had any issues with blinking or strobing effect. We installed them in our bedroom to replace some bulbs that were blinking. It looked like a rave in our bedroom. Thankfully, that is not a problem with these. Ordered these Leools Vintage-style frosted LED bulbs to go with a new Sputnik-style ceiling light we installed in our dining room. The bulbs are nicely elongated and flat-finished frosted white. I can confirm that they do not flicker when dimmed to any level, up or down. I wasn't totally sure I would like an exposed bulb light; however, these bulbs are ideal for this application and look great. I recently swapped out my old incandescent bulbs for these Leools Vintage LED bulbs, and I'm impressed! The frosted glass diffuses the light beautifully, creating a warm and inviting glow. Unlike traditional bulbs, I can actually look directly at these without squinting. These bulbs dim smoothly from 0 to 100%, which is perfect. Plus, they worked great with my existing dimmer switch, which is always a plus. I noticed these bulbs also stay cool to the touch and they are said to be free of mercury and harsh glares. These are some of the many items in this category that ordered for the purpose of a comparison review.Arriving quickly and so expertly packed,guaranteeing safe receipt.Notably these are one of the few LED light bulb manufacturers that I've reviewed,who takes their commitment to sustainability seriously,unlike some competitors,still using non biodegradable manufacturing practice,for cutting corners.Priced a bit higher than others,however that increase may be due to this manufacturers decision of using glass as opposed to plastic during production,thereby possibly increasing costs,earning both my,understanding and respect.In comparison they are priced higher,as producing environmentally responsible wares can be costly,for both manufacturer and consumer.However IMO,supporting those companies,that are committed to benefitting our planet and society,will have a lasting,lucrative and beneficial impact for us all.As always the decision to purchase remains with the consumers.When everyone finally understands that the sacrifice of paying higher now,will only be reduced,by savvy consumers and conscientious manufacturers,working in unison.Concurrently being manufactured with care,these dimmable LED bulbs designed with an E26 base,easily fitting into most standard light sockets.Unlike other items in this category,the Edison frosted design turns on quickly,with no delay,or humming sound.Providing 60 watts of illumination while only using 6,these will pay for themselves,in no time.Designed to emit a warm white glow reminiscent of old school light bulbs,while enhancing any rooms ambiance,with an inviting tone,that welcomes everyone home.Concurrently these are much easier on the eyes,unlike the earlier clear globe LED models,that can sometimes scream while drenching a space in an uninviting brassy beam.Personally I find these to be a better overall option,both for esthetical and fiscal reasons.Hopefully others will be equally as satisfied as myself,if deciding to make this purchase. ... show more

I really like the soft light of these bulbs. I have one in the lamp that's on the nightstand next to my bed. Now, when I turn on the light when I awaken, I'm not blinded by the glaring light from a clear bulb. I have another one in a small table lamp that's by the front door that has an open topped glass shade. Because the lamp isn't very tall, the top of the bulb is visible, and other types of light bulbs were just too harsh. This one is just right. I'm disappointed that the coating has made the bulb a bit yellower than 4000K, although I still like them very much. It would be nice if these came in an 8W, and maybe a 10W version as I'd like to see how they look in tables lamps with translucent shades. These bulbs come as close to incandescent soft white, and super soft white, as any LED bulb I've seen. If you like that look, these are the ones you seek. ... show more
