This adapter does what it supposed to do. My EF lenses, large and small, fit perfectly using the adapter and all of the camera functions work flawlessly. Why did I give it 4-stars instead of 5? Here's why: Even though the adapter is not at fault, if Canon would get on board and significantly lower the prices of their RF lenses AND allow 3rd parties to make affordable lenses, then many of us would not need this adapter--for now, the better RF lenses are simply unaffordable for a great many Canon camera users. This is pretty much a clone of the Canon EF to R adapter. Build quality is good, some very small movement between the lens and adapter, but the adapter to RF body is ROCK solid. Autofocus works, sharp and fast, reads perfectly on the camera. Build quality reminds me of my older Tamron lenses, same material. Canon doesn't allow 3rd Party Companies to create RF lenses and most of my lenses are 3rd party so I had to have this. It works with all of my lenses and as of now I highly recommend to people looking to save 40 bucks or so. ... show more

As far as connecting the lens to the camera, it works well. There is a very slight wiggle, but it doesn't effect anything. The only real problem is the rear lens caps don't stay on this adapter. The cap falls off easy. I've tried several Canon brand caps, but they all fall off. Makes me not want to use the adapter, or at least not keep it attached to a lens while carrying in a camera bag. ... show more
