  • Excellent product!
Size: Strength 2.00
The media could not be loaded. I had tried Legere before but their classics were too buzzy for tenor and bari. When I saw they came out with a French Cut more “dark sounding” and I saw good reviews, decided to give it a try.. Turns out it’s really balanced, projects well and the difference in sound from the cane reeds is really suttle. That high buzzing ring is gone with this cut!.. I was a little worried because on line it said they are more for the classical musician but... I am very happy with it! I have to get used to it, not as responsive as the cane reeds but, it comes close. There is a learning curve to these reeds but I believe this is the future of saxophone reeds. I got half size down strength, I usually use Vandoren ZZ 2.5. I recommend this because there’s no moistening, the reed is consistent and plays well. ... show more

  • Very flexible yet slightly on the mid dark spectrum

I love the American cut for their responsiveness but there are equally responsive but with a bit more body and darkness. Beautiful sound.

  • Great reed!
Size: Strength 2.25
Very responsive. Warm and full-bodied sound across all registers. Didn’t need any break-in period to get accustomed to it.

  • Split almost immediately
Size: Strength 2.50
I'm a novice player trying different reeds to see which works best for me. This reed delaminated less than a day after I got it. Maybe it was a fluke, but I was disappointed.

  • Better Than Cane
Size: Strength 3.50
I have always hated synthetic reeds. I have never had any reeds that sounded as good or even close to my cane reeds. I also always had difficulty adjusting to synthetic reeds since they felt so foreign, but not with the French cut. First note I played on this reed sounded better than any cane reed I have ever used. I am a music education and performance major and I feel super comfortable performing on these reeds and would recommend them in a heart beat. ... show more
