I had a set of All-Clad 3 ply cookware for years. I needed another set of cookware for an apartment but did not want to spend a lot of money for All-Clad, but also did not want to buy the cheap $100 set from Walmart. I was very pleasantly surprised by this cookware set. The pans are heavy duty. They feel about the same as the All-Clad. The stainless steel cleans beautifully with some Barkeeper's Helper (a must with stainless steel cookware). I fried some eggs in the small fry pan without a problem and no sticking (learn how to fry eggs on stainless steel ; ) Steaks sear evenly. I have only had these for about a month but thus far these are well worth the money. I wish they sell individual pans as I need some other size pieces. ... show more

I searched far and wide to find this set. There are many sets out there that are cheaper (and less quality because of it) and many sets with fewer pieces, but quantity doesn't always beat quality. And looks aren't everything either. Some sets are beautiful, but they just don't last after much use. Far too many people of all kinds of products will review things as soon as they open the box and then never return to give their honest opinion. Well I have been using this set thoroughly, heavily, frequently, and I am so grateful to Legend that I can say easily that these are the best pans I've ever used in my life. The heat conductivity of the copper, the durability of the stainless steel, the evenness of cooking across the pan even if heat is touching just the edge. The beautiful lids are not glass which is a huge plus, the handles are extremely ergonomic. Everything I've cooked so far, chicken, steak, salmon, veggies, even eggs have been great. It takes some getting used to for those used to your average nonstick pans. Everything will need a little olive oil before cooking, and heat those pans before putting anything on there. Then it will be nonstick, but without the harmful chemicals. My set came with gold handles (probably brass?) and although it doesn't have any practical reason for being that way, I personally greatly appreciate the way it stands out from my old sets. The other legend cookware colors are equally as useful. It makes no difference other than it's pretty, so get whichever set you like. But stick with Legend because they do several versions of the clad technology that can suit any and every household. You really get more than what you pay for here. A set like this should be $2000 dollars. I feel like I'm stealing, and customer service is amazingly nice about it. They had a sale on their website and let me use that same deal on amazon. It doesn't get any better than that. I use these pans, I know now that they are exactly what they advertise. Keep in mind I have two warnings-- clean them exactly as they instruct, but I use barkeepers or baking soda, or boiled vinegar to keep them shiny clean and mirror polished. You can put them in the dishwasher but I want to treat my pans with some respect. They deserve it. These will last a lifetime if you do. But they are also a bit heavy, so if you are elderly, it may become more difficult to use frequently. It's just a fact of heavy metals. Durable, unharmful stainless steel, easy to clean if you do it smartly(!) Beautiful, and MAKES GOOD FOOD, WHAT ELSE MATTERS? I don't know but I was just so sick of buying my annual nonstick set for them to accumulate scratches and permanent burn marks and warping (I didn't go that crazy but it still happens). This set is more than worth the cost when you consider you won't have to buy anything else for a long time, and you get one of every pan you will need along with a plethora of lids. I’ve been thinking about getting a very nice set for about a year originally eyeing a William Sonoma copper set. But the more research I did on copper sets the more I didn’t want the upkeep, but I really wanted the copper heat distribution so I started looking for alternatives and ran across stainless copper core about a month ago. I did lots of research, reading summary articles and reviews ultimately landing on Legend. I absolutely love the handle design and the gold handle makes me think of the copper core without the full copper upkeep. I was enamored with them as I unboxed and cleaned them ready to put to work the first night! They are absolutely gorgeous. Substantial in weight and obviously high quality. You can also see the copper layer looking at the edge. It is a little bit of a learning curve working with stainless if you’ve been working with nonstick, but so far gorgeous crusts on my chicken and the fond was perfect to create a tasty apricots pan sauce the first night! I’m even working on an electric stove temporarily since we recently moved (I’m used to gas and excited to do induction in the future), so I was super happy not to burn anything with the new and new combo 🤣. Also, they do clean up easily with a short soak/scrub and still look beautiful! I figure occasionally I’ll buff them with some bar keepers friend to keep them bright and shiny through what I’m hoping will be a very long and loved life. ... show more

They look nice. Quality is good. One pan has a minor bur on it but not enough to complain about. Handle, lids and features are very cool. Great price I'd say. Shipping was very fast..2 days! Packed in nice bags and boxed very well to protect them in transit. Have not used as of yet but will and update on Quality and ability to be nonstick, heating etc... update... they are great.
